Fights that need to be made . . .
1. Martinez vs Ward. Martinez has don't really fit as a middleweight. So for him to go up to 168 will probably kill him. Ward been at 168 almost his while career. I even think he fought over 168. So getting down to 160 will kill him. 164 is the middle ground.
2. Martinez vs Mayweather. No catchweight IMO, but a meet in the middle at 154 should work.
CAtchweights that should never have been.
Pacman vs Cotto
Pacman vs JMM
I simply don't understand those catchweight fights
As far as Mosley vs Khan, Mosley said he won't drop past 147. So Khan needs to come all the way up to 147. Besides Shane's power, Khan should win at any weight. If Shane hit Khan the way he hit Floyd, GOODNIGHT!!!!
Ant makes a good point in that catch weights are somewhat suspect when they are used as an advantage for one of the participants, but make more sense when used as the only way to make a fight. There is no reason for Floyd to face Martinez at 150 other than to have an advantage over Martinez because Floyd has fought at 154 with success in the past. There was no reason for Pacquiao to fight Cotto at 145 either for that matter.

I agree that some special attraction fights need a catch weight - Just that no title should ever really be on the line if you're not letting your opponent come in at the limit.
Both these points make perfect sense.
