I don't think an upset is out of the question here.
For me it's a much more interesting fight than Floyd vs Cotto which to me is a routine 12 win for Floyd, or a late ko if Cotto actually fights to win.
Gotta agree with you here Bilbo. I'm really looking forward to this fight. I think Bradley's movement can be a real pain in the ass for Pacquiao, he has an awkward defensive style with his ducking and head movement. He struggles with JMMs movement akways keeping him off balance so who knows. Pac throws alot of shots and reaches so leaves himself open for the counter if clever ebough. Pac was off balance something terrible in their last fight. Against Bradley for certain he wont be meeting someone who is plodding forward like Margarito, Clottey, Hatton or a dead De La Hoya. Even Cotto boxed well against Manny. It was getting involved that spoilt that for him.
I say Pacquiao takes this via Split decision with Bradley's stock still rising regardless.
Yeah I really think Bradley has the tools to spring the upset. He's in his prime. Never been beat, fights every fight like it's his destiny to win it. He really believes in himself and despite people saying he has no power I think he actually fights with a vicious style. He knows how to fight rough, to use his head, and take advantage of every trick.
It's a really tough fight for Pacquio imo close to a 50/50 fight.
I can't see Manny stopping him, and I think Manny is slowing down. I'll see what the odds are before the fight and well may have a flutter on Bradley to do it.

Pacquiao by KO/TKO.
Bradley may not be a knockout puncher but he certainly puts the heat on people. He forced Devon Alexander to mentally quit. He was battering Nate Campbell who had to pretend that blood was pouring into his eye in order to get out of the fight on a cut. He stopped Casamayor.
Watch his fight highlight with Peterson.

It's ridiculous to think this is an easy fight or that Bradley is not a dangerous fighter. He really is.
Hhhhmm I am not so sure about Bradley. He’s no journeyman of course but, Iiiiiiii dunno. I find it interesting how Pac, his team, and Arum don’t praise Mayweather as much when talks about their fight comes up but when it comes to facing lesser challenges they talk about how great they are and all the great qualities they have, how big of a threat the fight is, and so on. If Pacquiao faces a guy that can’t punch I can see Pacquiao having no problem receiving one or two punches to penetrate his defense and land his power shots to KO/TKO Bradley.

Pacquiao by KO/TKO.
Bro, is this a subtle way of discrediting PAC if indeed he stops the UNDEFEATED, YOUNG, PRIME Bradley?

Being young and undefeated doesn't make someone great. If so, are you going to tell me JC Chavez Jr. is great? I root for JC Chavez Jr. but deep inside me I know he still has a lot to prove and not quite ready to be up there with the big names regardless of the belt he has on his shoulder.
Not being subtle, I am being straight. I am discrediting Pacquiao and his team already for picking a soft punching guy from a lower weight division. Not sure we can say Bradley's resume is up there comparable to Pacquiao's. I feel bad for Bradley already.
If Bradley wins it would probably be by a headbutt:p.

He has been at the top of his devision for a while and has defeated the majority of the best fighters there.
He has not really come close to losing a fight defeating most of his opponents without much trouble. Imo he is probable the best fight other than mayweather or possibly Martinez for Pac. The guy has never lost and we dont know how far he will push himself to win if in trouble. Im with Bilbo and think he has a chance. Will still pick Pac to win but on a split decision.

Re: Pacquiao-Bradley Presser
Bradley didn't even look that good against a Casamayor stoned out of his mind. Nate Campbell was a lightweight and past his prime. I don't buy this fight as being all that hard for Pacquiao honestly. At worst we'll get one or two headbutts. But I don't see this as being a hard fight for Pacquiao. Bradley was ALWAYS gonna fight Pacquiao next ever since he signed with Top Rank.
Also Roach can take digs at Mayweather all he wants, May 5th was the date, Pacquiao and his promoter turned to every excuse not to fight him then so I dunno why they still ride this "Mayweather doesn't wanna fight us" stuff. Couldn't they find something stronger to sell Pacquiao on now? Why is it all these Top Rank fighters from Margarito to Pacquiao ride this whole "The guy Mayweather doesn't wanna fight" wave? It gets old.

Maj, If Tim is not affiliated with Top Rank and fought PAC would you feel the same way?

Affiliated with Top Rank or not, it still doesn't look like the biggest threat/challenge out there. Just can't see it for reasons already mentioned.

Without going above 147, who is a bigger challenge?

Andre Berto, Victor Ortiz, and the one and only Floyd Mayweather Jr:rolleyes:.

Clearly, Floyd is a better challenge and Pacquiao is a better challenge for him than Cotto.
Why would Andre Berto or Victor Ortiz be a better challenge? Both would be good fights for Pacquiao, but they aren't objectively any better of opponents than Bradley. To argue differently, really isn't giving Bradley enough credit. Neither of them places p4p, Bradley does. Both have lost, Bradley hasn't. Bradley schooled Lamont Peterson. Victor Oritz drew with Lamont Peterson. Victor Ortiz quit against Maidana. Floyd knocked Ortiz out in five rounds! Berto may be interesting, but he's too flat-footed for Pacquiao. Bradley is better defensively than Berto. I'll agree there are arguments for each as to why Berto or Ortiz would be good opponents for Pacquiao, but there is no clear front runner, other than Floyd. Bradley is a live body. He's in his prime. He's undefeated. He's better defensively than Berto and Ortiz, which seems to be Pacquiao's weakness.
You're letting your hatred for Pacquiao cloud your judgment. You should be excited Pacquiao is facing someone with a real shot here.

Both, Berto and Ortiz, at least have KO power to hurt Pac and are natural welterweights whereas Bradley will have to go up in weight to fight Pacquiao. So, not only is he not known for having a KO punch but he is also going up in weight.

Not rooting for a guy doesn’t necessarily mean you hate him. I root for Chavez Jr. but that doesn’t mean I blind myself from seeing that regardless of him being young, hungry, undefeated, and with a belt on his shoulder, he just doesn’t belong up there with the top big names just yet. See what I mean?
Sure, both Bradley and Cotto are not what we want for Floyd and Pacquiao but at least Floyd is going up to Cotto’s comfortable weight instead of weight-draining him.

I'm noticing with almost EVERY argument you make, you say things like,
"...and anyone who thinks otherwise is really XYZ"
or
"You're clearly saying that because you hate fighter XYZ" (who coincidentally is one of your fave fighters)
You kinda need to stop that..it adds no more weight to your point and in fact, diminishes it.
Yes, it should be stated every once in a while if somebodies argument is overly biased but when you use it to back up every point you make in every post, it sounds like you're clutching at straws..
