They've proven to be good heavyweights, can't argue with that. But, I do not feel they are all time greats and I'm certainly not in the minority.

I actually don't know how you can have higher than 10% bodyfat when you're serious about boxing. It's actually fucking hard if your training is up to scratch to put on fat. Shit, I was boxing 2-3 times a week and was the most ripped I've ever been in my life without even trying.
How can these guys call themselves athletes? Requires a bit of dedication to be called one of those...
The Klits are the ones who suffer because they win by default..nobody comes in shape so it's very, very hard to place them amongst the greats.

No, I don't believe Brothers should fight each other, that is asking too much just for people's twisted entertainment.
You know the answer to that yourself, there's not much they can do to achieve greatness as they are in THE or one of THE worst heavyweight eras in history.
The way they go about beating their lackluster opponents, which I know isn't their fault its all thats out there, but the way they go about beating them does not scream "greatness" to me. Jab, jab, jab, clinch, throw a 1-2, clinch, jab. Occasionally a left hook will get in there too. Wlad in particular lets fights go on far too long out of extreme caution when the opponent is no longer dangerous or was never dangerous in the first place. Its like watching the Lews vs. Tua fight on repeat over and over again. The exception to this would of course be Wlad dispatching of Ray Austin in 2 rounds. Vitali takes more risks and if I had to pick one I'd say I do enjoy watching him fight a bit more.
Neither really "dare to be great", but Vitali certainly takes more risks than Wlad.
They are technically sound and win by stoppage more often than not. So they don't go all Ricardo Mayorga on fighters, why should they, they are technically superior to every single fighter they face? Styles don't make fighters great...winning a lot no matter who they fight should provide enough for them to be considered great. So its a weak era, but they are dominating, it's not like they struggle.Quote:
