At least he brought it every time.
You knew you'd see some fireworks.
Shame about the stain.

I said this from day 1 when everybody was on his nuts. His claim to fame was being the alledged "fighter that Floyd ducked" - absolutely laughable that many believed that line of Arum drivel..
Career defining fight against Cotto has a question mark against it and he get's caught cheating in his next bout. Pretty much a disgrace to noble Mexican warriors.
On the flip side, he did awfully well for his limited skill set and had heart in there. Which I enjoyed in the end of his career because it meant he took deserved prolonged beatings for his paychecks (that he shouldn't have been getting)
Laters Margacheato. Enjoy your monies.
another highly positive and respectful post from our local ray of sunshine althugz

A convicted and suspended cheater deserves a "highly positive and respectful post"? I think you're barking up the wrong tree, eric. Most boxing fans are GLAD Margacheato decided to hang up the gloves. He shouldn't have been allowed to earn a penny more from professional boxing after he was found out. But in a way, I'm glad he did. It allowed him to get the shit beat out of him by Cotto, who got the payback he deserved. Somebody said it earlier in the thread: "Karma's a bitch."

Im sure many of those same fans will comment on this thread about their love for the Tijuana Tornado, Antonio Margarito.

Marg was a very good fighter, really gave a good performance against Manny and nearly beat him with the body shot. He took a severe beating in that fight.
Re: A sad sad day...Antonio Margarito retires.
I will sum the man up , he was a cheating cunt. Glad you are out of boxing.
Re: A sad sad day...Antonio Margarito retires.
I don't blame him.....getting harder and harder to be a punk cheat these days. Don't steal anything on the way out

Not exactly what you'd call a "sad sad day".
Oh Margo..... don't let the door hit you on the ass on the way out.

Here's my going-away present for Margarito.... the highlights from Cotto-Margarito II.
There's even a nice "reggaeton" that Margarito himself would enjoy.
Bon voyage, Tony..... I'll look you up in the slums of Tijuana if I'm ever in the neighborhood.

Even that was sarcastic.

Yes, the Tijuana Tomato will be missed, kind of like a case of the clap or diarrhea.
