Re: Most Powerful Man in Boxing?
Unfortunately, I'll have to go with Al Haymon. He has HBO by the balls. If HBO doesn't kiss his ass, and over-hype his stable, he can pull away the cash cow Mayweather and jump to Showtime. So, you know HBO doesn't want to lose Mayweather, so they give in to his demands. Plus, no money goes out of his pockets, but he sure does rake it in.
Haymon Boxing Organization
What makes it worse, is that we have to see his crony Sam Watson, and his retarded sons always standing in the background. :p

Good post. I looked at it on a macro level rather then micro whereas you stuck to the question.
Individual's I suppose Haymon and Arum.
Hbo told Martinez they would not telecast a Zbik fight. Hbo controls the air time. Floyd does not control Hbo and neither does Haymon.
Showtime ditto. Just different fighters.
Sad that it has become so monopolized.

Well in Martinez's case, he has no real bargaining power, unfortunately. :-\
