:vd: 15 yr old's hey, your grammar is worse than that pal, until that gets better, your not worth the time it takes to type this :dunce:

Butthurt? Dewy eyed? Milking money from mugs? Cherry picked opponents?
What in the fuck are you waffling about? Seriously. ;D
He hasn't even announced the comeback yet let alone who he's fighting or where he's fighting or what TV station it will be on.
Throughout the history of boxing fighters come out of retirement. There are numerous reason why. Hatton's comeback will be nothing out of the norm. The fact he's a boxing star means he'll earn lots of money. So what?
If you don't like Hatton then don't watch him. Simple as. It's not rocket science.
quite frankly i dont care if he does fight someone shit
theres nowt like a ricky hatton fight :)
i'm a big Hatton fan, i was hoping if he does come back he fights someone that he will win then retire on a good note. He's 33 he was an aggressive fighter, fighters with his style dont stay in the game for to long unless he changes his style which he isnt going to do.
I hope he comes back gets a win and relizes he isnt as good as he was and retires with a win that i think he deserves.
I hope i can get tickets for his fight if he does come back otherwise i will not be happy. ;D
Look when i say lets not be synical im saying it with a sense of perspective also...no one is seriously suggesting he will become unified LWW champ again (not even ricky think's that i can asure you!) Nor do we expect him to steam roll over numerous world class opponents like he used to do, He never meant for the pacman fight to be his last, he deserves to finish on a high and fight a couple of farewell, fights for himself and his fans! Why would no one support such honourable intentions and hatton fights are HUGEEEEE, every fighter and boxing fan alike will scramble for tickets!! Wladimir klitschko is a massive hatton fan believe it or not! It will be good for some of the younger british fighters too to experience the hatton show!
Hatton was special, he just was, froch and hatton are cut from the same cloth yet carl never captured the public imagination like hatton for some reason! Calzaghe only ever courted the mass attention following lacy, most ppl followed hatton right from the get go, a lot of boxing fans grew up watching him and it is nice to know the show isn't over quite yet. Fighters like hatton come along once a generation, there's no one on coming through like him so we should appreciate him a little more, the sport is a far duller place without him!
Most fighters have problems dealing with life after the ring, i can list a dozen fighters straight off the top of my head that spiralled into vice following there careers, until u experience such highs and then come crashing down you should not judge! He should be commended for turning a shitty time into a positive, and believe me i hate most sportsmen, they are overpaid pre madonnas, on any other occasion i would be on here saying 'poor, over paid, pampered milionaire bla bla bla...' but hatton is a genuine guy and i think he deserves better.
And for the guy whining about he will fight some old LW or some nobody, i doubt it personally, its pointless coming back, they will be a couple of decent oponents, maybe not a cotto but someone worthy, and if he performs well who knows.....
Thats if he does come back, it's still not definite!!
It's a bit much bashing somebody for "going off the rails" when they're only engaging in behaviour that's generally socially acceptable. Drink and social drugs are both fine with the majority of people, where is he going off any rails?
His career came to an abrupt end with a shattering KO. At the level he was boxing at, the spectacularity of the KO and the fact that he was basically at the end of his prime and only going downhill from then on meant he retired. And then he behaved exactly like almost every wealthy young guy behaves, well within those parameters actually. Look at how many famous people you hear doing exactly the same sort of stuff and they're just the ones who get caught/don't have PR people to kill the stories in the media.
If he wants to come back to go out on a win then I'm right behind him. If he looks like he's got something left, and I don't think he will have, maybe another shot at a title, but hopefully he beats some journeyman up and goes out on a win.
"15 year old's hey"? Are we talking about 'hey' that belongs to a 15 year old? Or are you saying 15 year old 'is' hey? Why is there an apostrophe in "old's"? ???
Why isn't there an apostrophe and an in E in "YOUR not worth the time it takes to type this"? Did you use your (a possessive pronoun) instead of YOU'RE (A contraction of you are, as in "you are using awful grammar, but you think MINE is bad?!)?
Also, you don't seem to understand how commas work, leaving us with your horrible, fragmented syntax.
Sorry, did you say something to me about grammar? ??? ;D
The truth is, I couldn't care less about your grammar, but if you can't even correctly use your and you're, then all YOU'RE (not your...) doing is showing me how much of a moron you are.
Back on topic (don't go the grammar route next time, worse idea than Hatton fighting Pac)...
I don't care if over eating, drink and drugs are the norm for our peers, I hold elite athletes to a higher standard than that and if Hatton falls away from those standards then why should I respect him like I used to as an athlete? ???
...and no Fenster, I wasn't planning on watching him if he comes back... I thought I'd made that quite clear? :vd:
I don't respect him as an athlete anymore and I don't have any interest in watching him fight again... simple. I am only voicing my opinions, deal with it (you are not even expected to agree with them, just like you said: It's not rocket science).
Yes..... welcome back, Ricky.
Welcome back to the life of being coke-free, and weighing less than 200 pounds.
Being a hero to most of England, I'm sure they're glad to have you back.
Talk of a comeback to professional boxing? That's another matter altogether.
Yes, I find it hilarious that many people crying foul play at you for judging Ricky are the same people who call Floyd Mayweather a piece of shit when there wasn't even any conclusive evidence that he had got physical with the mother of his children...But..It's Ricky Hatton so whatever he does is fine.
Anyway, I'm not of the opinion that Hatton has done anything particularly wrong by doing coke - As Kirkland said, it's "socially acceptable" (which doesn't make it right but to each their own). I personally have never liked Ricky's fighting style anyway and disliked his lack of discipline between fights. I don't see why I have to particularly "respect" him..for what? He gets respect as a human being from me but not as a fighter.
He'll come in against someone weak, win, and then let his huge ego get the better of him. He'll think he can mix it at the top again resulting in another comedy K.O. Remember folks, this is the same guy that said, "There's no way Floyd can knock me out, he must be mad" and "I was winning the 2nd round by a country mile!" in a fight where he was steamrolled..
By the ref yes! Also hatton is better suited to LWW. All the odds were in floyd's favour that night, the ref, home town, his division! Cortez played a big part in that fight! Floyd beat's ricky 9 times out of 10 but a hatton who is allowed to 'dog it up ' (Which was hatton's Modus operandi after all!) on the inside give's floyd a much harder night! Hatton pre-tszyu (not the UK media darling fighting in the US) gives floyd a rough night IMO.Quote:

Barry Mcguigan: "Joe Cortez was very biased I thought" I agree. Also mcguigan stated before the fight "Cortez will have a crucial role to play in determining how the fight develops. I just hope the referee Cortez allows [Hatton] to get inside because that will be his best tactic"
Hatton pleaded with referee Cortez to let fight flow beforehand in an interview too, so he was aware of the influence joe would have prior to the fight. Compare cortez's interference with the hatton/castillo fight (HARDLY INTERVENED!) and then watch him in the mayweather/hatton fight (He broke the two when they touched for more than a split second and took a point from Hatton for an illegal punch that didn't even land LOL!)
Check out cortez in the Whitaker vs. Savarese fight! He told Savarese to get up. I think if he hadn't whitaker would have won by KO.
So sorry but cortez ruined that fight for hatton. It seemed like cortez ignored a lot of floyd being the one who was holding on in clinches and was using his forearm-elbow push off constantly and wasn't really warned about it. Stopping ricky from fighting on the inside is like taking wladimir klitschko's jab away!
You missed a few 9's and 0's. Floyd beats Hatton 999 times out of 1,000.
WITH.... or without Joe Cortez.
Floyd's weight? He started off much smaller than Hatton.
