Vitali says he’s not retiring
Vitali is currently campaigning in Ukraine for his UDAR party and is seeking to become mayor of Kiev.
But Vitali assured fans that he does not currently have plans to retire from boxing:
"There is no talk about the end of my career," he posted on Facebook. "I'm sorry if I didn't put enough emphasis on this at the news conference."
So it doesn't look like Vitali will retire from boxing just yet, he could however get his ass murdered if he keeps dabbling in Ukrainian politics.

One last fight against Haye then he can retire with all due respect.
My worry is that he is almost 42 years of age and contrary to what we've been seeing in boxing as older boxers win fights its mainly due to the inexperience of their opponent and the older man's experience. They are old, their reflexes much slower than use to be and their bodies can't the the same amount of punishment as a young man.
It is dangerous for a 41 year old heavyweight to still be fighting. This is doubly true considering how injury prone Vitali has been.
However I admit the big glaring reason I don't want him to fight Haye is because he [Vitali] did not look that good in his last outing and last thing I really want to see is people gloating over the fact that a 42 year old was beaten in a young man's game. I don't think he will lose but I think the possibility has increased since the last time the fight was brought to the table.
Also, what has Haye done to earn this fight? He is the Chavez of the heavyweight division, actually the order should be reversed. The point is that he was beaten by Wlad and he beat the guy that Vitali beat. How does that entitle him to fight number 1 ranked HW?
Apologize for the small rant. It upsets me that the name 'number 1 challenger' means nothing anymore.
