Re: Pacquiao vs Marquez 4 predictions
Manny Pacquiao's fights are big business regardless of who he faces, and as a boxing fan its a pleasure to see two future hall of famers fight, but other than that, frankly, I'm not too excited about this match-up. We've seen it three times before. Even if ultimately the outcome turns out to be different, on paper its the same fight once again. For my money, I would prefer to see Pacquiao and Marquez in with new blood. Its not as if Pacquiao or Marquez fight 4X/year. They fight twice at most every year. We've seen them against each other. How about they face new big challenges? On the other hand, the three previous fights were all good fights.
I credit Pacquiao for taking on Bradley, at least that was different. Bradley was a p4p guy, lower end of list, but in his prime, and the top junior welterweight in the world. Since moving up to lightweight, other than Floyd or Pacquiao, when has Marquez faced anyone at the top of their game? I would prefer Rios-Marquez, Garcia-Marquez, Bradley-Marquez, even Matthysse-Marquez.
Right now, I'm going with Marquez just for the sake of going against the grain.

JMM should win again considering he has won all there 3 previous meetings IMO.
I actually disagree a little bit. He might be overrated AND past his prime. Consider that for a moment. He didn't look spectacular in his last two outings. It's hard not to argue that Pacquiao has problems with defensive fighters and counter punchers. Every style has an antithesis. On the other hand, in my opinion, he hasn't looked quite as explosive as he has in the past either.
I don't overrated him. I'm not ranking him all-time or any of that crap until he's retired and we can compare him completely. He's a terrific fighter and a pleasure to watch and he's one of the best of our generation.

I'm 100% absolutely positively sure Pacquiao will lose if it goes to the scorecards! Brace yourselves for that letdown Pacfans.
Manny has to win by KO.
I think Manny knows this too, I saw the interview of E.Sechback with Winchell Campos. I trust Mr. Campos' words when he said the Manny of old is back and is trying to move heaven and earth to make it happen.;)
Re: Pacquiao vs Marquez 4 predictions
What makes me nervous for Marquez in this fight is that he is saying he is looking for the KO. If that really is his game plan...i think Pac will knock him out. That style of aggressive fighting would play right into Pac's strengths. Juan is in a tough position. He has outboxed Manny but the judges will not give him the decision...so he might feel like he has no other option. But I still think JMM needs to fight his counter punching style...BUT he should not be passive in the latter rounds. This will be another exciting fight. Pac has slipped quite a bit...but JMM may finally look his age as well. If Marquez still has gas in the tank and fights his great counter punching style...i have him FINALLY winning a decision.

I agree ICB...BUT...no question Pac is no longer physically the same fighter...his quickness and explosiveness have clearly diminished compared to a few years ago.
Re: Pacquiao vs Marquez 4 predictions
I love watching Pac Man fight, but personally i want to see Marquez win,
Just so he has a Win against PacMan on his career stats. He deserves that.

No no no, dont get it twisted he had different opponents.
Give pacman another past it hatton or margarito and everyone would say how explosive he still is!
Come on guys. I think its a bit disrespectful to bradley/mosely/marquez to say pac is past it or slowed down or has leg cramps just because they nulified pacs workrate.
Jeeez, cotto gave floyd some competition for 3-4 rounds but you dont hear floyd fans saying "floyd is slowing up, floyds legs are gone, floyds this or that!"
That was the first bloody nose floyd had in a long time but cotto gave him that.
Takes two to tango fellas.
It's not disrespectful at all. Also, first, Pacquiao bodied Mosley. I'm not sure why he is brought up.
Second, why can't it be both? Bradley & Marquez are p4p fighters. With Marquez, Pacquiao has always had difficulty. Every style has its Kryptonite. I remember when many people on this board were claiming Marquez was an easy fight for Pacquiao, prior to their third fight. Marquez was washed up; I said then that Marquez just has Pacquiao's number. Pacquiao has his too for that matter. Those two future hall of famers will always fight to a standstill. With Bradley, Pacquiao fought another undefeated great boxer. Bradley beat Pacquiao, even if the decision was dubious. I was, and am, a big Bradley fan. I loved when he beat Devon Alexander in front of a pro-Alexander crowd. Loved it. Hats off to Bradley for his performance. Can't knock it at all.
Yet, even with all that, there are still signs of Pacquiao receding. It might not even be physical aging, although I suspect there is a bit of that too, it appears Pacquiao might be losing his mental edge too. I'm not ready to completely say one thing or the other. I also don't think that we'll be able to tell too much from this Marquez fight, unless one of them blows the other out of the water.
There are actually quite a few people that have commented that Floyd has slowed down and his legs aren't what they used to be.

Re: Pacquiao vs Marquez 4 predictions
Marquez wins the fight, Pacquaio wins the decision.
Re: Pacquiao vs Marquez 4 predictions
Marquez, clearly won the 3rd fight to me and I believe he will get the decision in the 4th. On another note anyone, who doesn't think Pacquiao or Floyd have declined is losing their mind. Floyd doesn't have the legs to move around the ring like he did against Hatton and Manny has been on the slide since the Margarito fight. Lack of explosiveness, severely reduced workrate, he is unable to fight every second of every round now.
