True, that was the biggest blown fight in boxing history. I don't blame one guy specifically for it, I think they both missed the boat on that one. It's a shame the two spoiled prima donnas couldn't be bothered to put differences aside to make the fight of the century, but whatever.
I think Floyd is a much more complete fighter than the guys mentioned though (Hearns, Hagler, Leonard and Duran). I can look at all those guys and say "well if you look here, he had a lot of trouble with this style", whereas I can look at Floyd and see that he fought and bested pretty much any style you can think of, and had the ability to adapt to his opponent and switch to plan B, C, or Z if necessary in a fight.
Back to the thread though, I say Floyd will fight 6 more times. I'd say he will do it over 2 1/2 to 3 years.
Leonard took on very dangerous fighters like Hearns and Duran (who was out of his best weight class but vicious enough to beat Leonard) which shortened his career. Had Leonard been selective like Floyd he could have made a lot more money but not much respect as he has now from fans.
When Leonard came back after the Hagler victory he carefully selected his opponents which is where Floyd got the blue print to make money and stay safe.
Agreed, I believe Canelo would beat Floyd.
Young skillful, powerful and has decent speed.
on top of that he's naturally much bigger
its hard to say he would beat floyd, im interested to see how he does against trout

Leonard always got hit clean a LOT more than Floyd has. Of course he had those epic rivals in Duran, Hearns and Benetiz, but to just assume he would've cakewalked through anyone else or been around all that much longer had he not is quite a stretch. If you take those 3 men away his record would be pitiful compared to Floyds, so it works both ways.
Also have no idea what you mean about Leonard being careful after the Hagler win... He basically went right into a Lalonde fight which was fairly dangerous at that stage, then rematched Hearns and got his ass whipped and a gift draw.. What else? Was taking on a young Terry Norris staying safe?
Re: There's more chance of Audley becoming world champ than Floyd having 6 more fight
I agree that Floyd isn't protected and has good scalps on his record.
He's just not active enough for my liking.
Plus I HATE the fact that it appears he's only in it for money.
Like he could use this god given talent 3 or 4 times a year but chooses only to bless us with his presence when he's skin broke.
Re: There's more chance of Audley becoming world champ than Floyd having 6 more fight
I'm sure he doesn't lose much sleep over it;) Would you NOT be in it for the money, if you were him? That's the thing about boxing, as fans we are completely impossible to please anyways and don't really appreciate what a fighter goes through much of the time. Guys who fight to please people end up wearing diapers by their 50's.

So take away Drazier, Foreman and Liston from Ali's record it would look ordinary too. ;)
Lalonde was weight trained, Hearns was chosen because he was vulnerable. Leonard was out of his mid to think he could beat Terry and Macho Man for that matter.

Prizefighters are always in it for the money....but Floyd is still a little cock with his inactivity and cherry picking these last few years.
That said, Guerrero is a viable opponent and COULD trouble Floyd, maybe even beat him. I'd give him a 20% chance.
Speaking of prizefighters...AUDLEY WON PRIZEFIGHTER !!!
