looking like an adonis cut from stone doesn't mean you're in shape or not in peak condition especially in the heavies.
the division if full of fat fucks. look at tua or peter they were destroyers. but by your definition out of shape.
do you even watch heavyweight boxing?

chiseled out of granite I tell you.....do I even watch boxing? Thanks for that predictible bush league bullshit.
i think you may need help with your reading comprehension. i didn't say sanders was cut. quite the opposite. what i said was that you don't have to be chiseled to be in shape.
also, i said heavyweight boxing. learn to read.

You never explained how it's inflamatory & I only called you a cunt & a twat because if I'm going to be accused of being "inflamatory" then by God I will fucking be inflamatory

....fine go home & play with you dollies
There were other fat heavyweights that were underdogs that pulled off upsets & you could have said "Hey, how about _____ vs ______?" but no, you chose the "I wanna be an asshole" path so I hope you're having fun with it. I mentioned Sanders vs Wlad #1 Because it was a huge upset (that wrong? Am I wrong in saying that???) and #2 Sanders had pretty much retired from boxing at that point to try and be a golfer ergo he had not been 100% focused in training for the fight vs Wladimir. #3 Yes just because you're not built like Herecles doesn't mean you're out of shape HOWEVER looking like Phil Mickleson doesn't help your case when it comes to the "Is he in shape?" question.

Lyle, he keeps on bringing up Tua and Peter. Both are completely different built than Sanders. They're naturally squat, thick-built bodies. Sanders had skinny legs, skinny arms, skinny chest.... and a belly paunch, giving him that weekend warrior look.
But the little obnoxious shit has me on ignore and will never see those explanations. Feel free to explain them to him if you're so inclined (although you can't be blamed if you don't).

The closest I can think of is the late Corrie Sanders vs Wladimir, maybe Tex Cobb vs Earnie Shavers?
Can you guys think of any? Surely it has happened albeit infrequently but it has to have occured before. I remember Buster Douglas used to go into fights flabby, but vs Tyson he looked in great shape.
Great question EL and a real head scratcher especially being a tad hung over. Take awhile to think about the weight classes outside of hev which is probably where most of these upsets took place but hev is the most recognizable. How about Foreman/Moore EL? George was heavier in previous fights but he looked gassed in rd 3 and hadn't thrown anything. He was 45 I think and being served up as a name. It looked like to me that he didn't train for the fight fuel wise.

Bedoe took pity on him and took a dive.
Re: Whn has an out of shape fighter pulled off the upset?
Butterbean has never been in shape. Larry Holmes over Ray Mercer comes to mind. Foreman over Moorer. Altought both Holmes and Foreman were old.
Mccbride and Williams over Tyson. There's more out there
Re: Whn has an out of shape fighter pulled off the upset?
The cigarette smoking Mayorga over Forest.

You took the words right out of my cock
Re: Whn has an out of shape fighter pulled off the upset?
And who has Butterbean upset exactly:confused:;D Hell if he had managed to win a round against a half dead Larry Holmes that would've been his career high. Saying that Larry Holmes isn't a bad shout himself here, he was OLD when he beat a prime Ray Mercer, who really must've been a huge favourite in that one.. Elterrible's call was the best so far imo. Morales was a guy who was moving up in weight to fight a very dangerous puncher after all the wars he'd been through and at his age. He looked soft and ill prepared, cut/swole up more easily than I'd ever seen before and was in quite a bit of trouble early on in that fight. He got back into things and imo should've won a close decision basically on sheer grit and past instincts. The whole scenario is much less likely at the lower weights as well, in theory Erik should've been retired that night and most people expected it.
