Does anyone know how the cloud/golovkin sparring session went?
Well ggg seems to be fearless but he needs to chill, he'd be way undersized for lt heavy he's already a smallish middleweight. He's got hbo behind him now I think so he should just keep fighting whoever is put in front of him, win by spectacular ko and the big fights should come. If they don't he should take a page out of hayes book start talkin shit and lure one of the other names in to the ring, however it doesn't seem he has that within his character.
Maybe I'm alone in this, but...
... is it at all that impressive to "call out" a 48-year old Hopkins, regardless of how great he has been?
Aren't there other, younger fish to fry for GGG?
Hopkins will be elegible for Social Security before too long.
Why doesn't GGG aim for a Martinez or someone like that.

Spot on analysis of Golovkin. He is a nice fellow and def has HBO behind him so the big money fights will come. He is also very undersized for light heavyweight. He's undersized for a super middleweight as well. I'd say he wouldn't fare much better than Abraham did at that weight.Quote:

Golovakin is a bigger puncher and better boxer than AA so could do better than Arthur did at super middle but it is best to stay at middle at destroy the contenders and belt holders until he can secure a fight with Sergio.Quote:

Any non heavyweight with a name thats hard to pronounce cashing in three HBO dates within seven months is doing alright in the marketability department and far from obscure if you ask me, and I'm sure they will go out of their way to air his showcase in a couple of weeks from BF Morocco of all places (don't tell me they couldnt do better than Ishida?!) On the surface that’s a good point but it’s a tad deceiving. He’s still been playing brides maid while the rest cheat him out of a marquee fight. By the time he gets that marquee fight, there will most likely be no opponent to make it marquee or he will beat up a clearly faded 43 year old Martinez. Ftr my friend I’m not even a fan of his but I can see the slight of hand here. We both know that HBO is a de facto governing body and operate accordingly. They probably have last say on his opponents like many others with contracts. They could very well be a big part of the problem where GGG is concerned.Quote:

He’s called out a lot more people then Quillin and as yet failed to get a nibble. The old default excuse of “who’s he” or “whose he fought” often rises to the surface. How convenient. He lives in a world of coddling and padding and wants to take the opposite path and seems to be penalized for it. He’s also close to 31 and has a candle burning at both ends kind of style.
