Bellew-Stevenson is a great match-up, even if it don't last long.
Don't forget that Donovan George went many rounds with Stevenson. Donovan George is a good boxer, but he is not at the elite level. I would probably rate Bellew higher than George. So, I wouldn't count out Bellew because of Stevenson's one punch knockout of Chad Dawson. I like the match up actually.
I thought Donavon George was the guy who pummelled old Chris Byrd, but apparently not heh. Was Stevenson actually hit cleanly in that fight much etc? It is hard to look past getting KO'ed by Darnell Boone for me, I expect Adonis to be a kill or be killed type guy.
If he does hold up for a while he could probably look forward to a big Montreal showdown with Pascal or even Bute if he shows some good form again, those would make a lot of sense. Tavoris Cloud vs Stevenson would likely be a good scrap as well, if Cloud has a shot at beating a world champion it's probably him.
Don't forget that Darnell Boone also put Andre Ward on the canvas in his only time on the canvas in his professional career. Boone has some craftiness for a journeyman.
From what I gather, Stevenson was rocked multiple times by George, although he put George onto the mat a ridiculous number of times himself, like 5 or something.

Kovalev fights Cornelious White on Saturday.

Tough to know what to make of Stevenson really, in theory that was a major step up in class for him but obviously all it told us was that he's a puncher. I'm still a bit baffled as to why Dawson took that fight after the Ward loss, but hindsight is 20/20 of course.
Not really, he wasn't impressive against Miranda for me. Bellew's most impressive performance IMO was against Cleverly. I expected him to lose that fight handily and it was a great fight that I scored an even draw. He lost a close decision but it could've gone either way. If you want to see his impressive performances against lesser opposion, I guess Danny McIntosh or Jindrich Velicky are the fights to watch. I remember after the Velicky performance he bragged about his power because Velicky had gone 10 with Stieglitz in his previous fight and Bellew KO'ed him in a round. Velicky's record since this fight is utterly abysmal though so I think he was getting ahead of himself.

I think Bellew has a much better chance against Stevenson than he did Dawson. Bellew can take the role of boxer against Stevenson and basically has to prevent getting bombed out early.

I agree with FENSTER, Bellew has more chance against Stevenson , however that chance is 50/50.

I hate to bring up Cleverly in every Bellew thread, but, if Bellew faces Stevenson, once again Bellew is facing the tougher competition.

That is true and should Bellow win it would set up a cracking rematch.

Bollocks. It doesn't get tougher than Tommy Karpency! FACT!
Re: Bellew in position to face Adonis Stevenson... he cant wait to get his hands on e
bellew is a very good boxer with decent power and a solid chin
i havent seen much of stevenson but from what ive heard raw and wild are good descriptions, i think needs to catch bellew early to knock him out and his only chance is a knockout or several knockdowns
depending on stevensons chin i think bellew wins on points 9 time out of 10
