Re: Fury is going to shock us against Haye!
Caveat: If Haye has any chance of winning this fight AND putting himself back into the world title mix against either Wlad or Vitali, he has to knock Fury out and in dramatic finishing fashion.
That means that when and if he hits Fury, the fight must end in that round- if there is more than 1 minute left in the round.
The only way Haye can win this fight is by KO- and it is the only way boxing critics and ratings agencies will look at him again as a real HW contender against Wlad or Vitali.
Re: Fury is going to shock us against Haye!
Fury has been tagged flush in nearly every fight he has had , so for me it is logical that Haye will land in the first 3 rounds. Haye is a big puncher , unlike the other fighters Fury has fought.
So my opinion is Haye KO 3 , or if he catches him in round 1 or 2 then earlier.

I don't think Fury gets caught in all of that. And, this fight, we will see the issues with ring rust and someone who's heart has left the fight game 3 years ago in Haye, vs. a guy like Fury who wants it and willing to continuously work for it.
Fury frustrates Haye over 12 rounds with sporadic spurts and bursts of fighting in between.
Fury in a UD- sorta like a 115-112 OR a 114-111/2 victory.
p.s.: It also depends on if Haye's toe is ready for a few rounds. ;D ;D ;D
you think Fury can win the fight by fighting in bursts? what is he doing whilst he isn't fighting? standing off?

Sure. Either two things will happen- Fury will stand away and jab to the head and body from afar and the fight will be a snooze-fest, but he will win that contest. Or, he will try to mix it up a few times in a hot exchange and he will get hit- assuming Haye still has his pop. And, at 34, I don't see why he shouldn't have his pop.
Haye will try to put pressure and get on the inside. How Fury responds to that is what will be at Haye's best chance or last chance.
I don't see Fury getting beat if he keeps his jab long, to the head and body- mix in a little short left hook moving to his right and away from Haye's right, Haye will have no choice but to miss wildly- see a lot of slips and falls by Haye.
Re: Fury is going to shock us against Haye!
There are as much chances to see Price winning against Haye than to see Shane McGowan fully sober at an AA meeting.
Re: Fury is going to shock us against Haye!
Fury will lose by KO. Its fairly obvious. Fury has not been in with a big puncher and has been floored several times. Haye is a big puncher and a lot faster then anyone Fury has fought.
If Fury makes it past 5 rounds Id be very surprised.

If Fury does get past 5 rounds he wins. :)
Re: Fury is going to shock us against Haye!
I'd like to see Fury pull it out, but just can't see that happening. He's huge and has some skill, but he doesn't really have a consistent style and fights stupid. He isn't a puncher, isn't fast, doesn't take a great shot and doesn't defend well. I think Haye might have some trouble if Fury tries to box and tie up lots, but he'll get through with a big shot soon enough in any case.

Even Audley got up when he was hit by Haye though ;)

If Fury hadnt already had the fights with Rogan and Johnson would you think he could get past them two and with the ease that he did?
He is being monumentally overlooked based on the Cunningham performance. Even then people are forgetting that Fury fought back hard and knocked the man spark out!
All everyone has in their minds is fury getting dropped. I like Fury and was watching the fight and said to my missus during the first round that any minute now hes going to get caught with a right hand. He was litterally asking to be smacked. If Haye was doing the same thing against Cunningham in the first id have thought exactly the same.
It happened because Fury gave it to him on a plate but even after fighting like a complete idiot he still sparked a man that Adamek (who people like Kabong rate higher than Fury) struggled to get a very contraversial decision over.
Re: Fury is going to shock us against Haye!
Cunningham is the best fighter he's faced though, and his last fight. Rogan and Johnson are garbage and no barometer of anything. I like Fury, just don't think he can avoid or take Hayes punch.

I dont think he could take a full on shot from Haye either. Hes just got to fight alot smarter and he is capable of that.
I see Haye as a bit like Mosely. He has fast powerfull hands but thats it. He doesnt move his head or have any real defence. His success has come against fighters that have been a bitintimidated by his speed but at the same time Haye has fought BIG men like hes intimidated of their size.
Chisora pushed him well and if he hadnt have opened up it was only a mater of a round or two before Haye fell apart. Chisora got careless as I reckon he could feel Haye slowing.
Tyson is still learning with each fight. Every fighter he faces hes picking something up in regards to experience and poise. Fury is better than Chisora and beating Chisora the way Haye did has masked how vulnerable he was looking. Tyson getting dropped by Cunningham has masked an excellent result.
I also agree that Fury is not going to be the most gracefull or skilled heavy but right now with whats out there hes as good as anyone and his size, awkwardness and willingness to let his hands go is far more enjoyable to watch than the other boring plodders.

i'm not sure I agree with a lot you have said there ross
haye has a very good defence for a heavyweight
chisora wasn't in the fight at all with haye, although he made it exciting by keeping moving forward
and im not sure Tyson is so much better than chisora, if the two fought again I think it would be a very different fight, first time fury got away with it because chisora didn't put the effort in
Re: Fury is going to shock us against Haye!
Chisora did what he could with what he has. Fury has also come on leaps and bounds since then whereas Chisora is still fighting the same. Fury is also in far better shape now.
Haye does not have a great defence. He has got away with what he does because he's fought who?
Exactly!

What? He's gonna last more than 2 rounds?
