Re: Obscure journeymen that we liked!
Buck Smith the ultimate modern day journeyman.
Re: Obscure journeymen that we liked!
*just when I call Johnny Gonzalez a jounerman, he comes back and ko's another top tier fighter... the guy has a memory of a fish. he can get ko'ed in one fight and come back and ko a better fighter the next time out... he's a real old school type fighter.. I've been watching him for years.
*Delvin Rodriquez..what a badass. the guy is a gangster in the night. I have friends that say he's giving it one more try.. training his ass off... if it weren't for his loss to Austin Trout, he'd have a little win streak going on... he'll fight Cotto... believe me, u don't sleep on DR.

Rodriguez only looks good against C fighters like himself. Every time he steps up he loses. His performance (If you can call it that) in the Trout fight was pathetic. Cotto as shot as he is should still have enough to beat Delvin Rodriguez

Kermit Cintron...you just never know what side of the ring that wacky ol' trial horse will jump out of next ;D
There are literally hundreds! Sanderline Williams was quality, Kevin f'n Pompey! Monte Barrett, Marion Wilson on his chin alone and facing everyone and their mother. Brett Lally, Mike Stewart, Tomas Rojas, Ezra Sellars, Uriah Grant and so on. Journeymen make the world go round
Re: Obscure journeymen that we liked!
Ultimate journeyman turned champ can only be one guy.....................
Fearless Freddie Pendleton.
Re: Obscure journeymen that we liked!
Another journeyman I liked was Antwun Echols... his wars with Charles Brewer and Bernard Hopkins are stuff of YouTube legend.
;D

Ferguson was tough and fearless, he'd step in the ring to fight anybody.
One of the best was when HBO brought him in as cannon fodder for humongous rebounding Sampson Pouha. Jesse proceeded to literally spank him like a shell shocked toddler caught coloring on the wall. Great night for the Boogeyman.

Re: Obscure journeymen that we liked!
Carl Thompson was always exciting and provided good value.

Nice one. Both him and Augustus had similar w/l records.
Have not given much thought to all time but both Moyer brothers would qualify. Phil and Deny.
