I have heard US beef is much better than that found in the UK Any truth to this. I have yet to get to England

It varies I think. While you're unlikely to find a beer batter in your average chippy, there are plenty of more upmarket ones where you can find a good beer batter.

I love battered chips, they are beautiful. :cool:
