That's what I was thinking, apparently Burns' manager confirmed it yesterday.
Arum probably hoping Beltran can pull it off so he has a backup plan if Mikey/Loma falls through.
I did read that Arum and Robert Garcia (he trains Ramirez, who Top Rank promote) had talked briefly about putting Mikey/Loma after the Pedraza fight.
Arum talking all the belt unification and PPV, saying its big enough to make sense.
I just wonder if Arum was talking out of both sides of his mouth and floated it prior to a largely unforeseen loss to Pedraza. Either way love to see Beltran get his just due with Burns but a very high hill to climb if Arum thinks he can sell him as back up for Loma if Mikey doesn't happen. Lots to unfold first though so lets see how Beltran bounces back with Burns.

Yep, never believe anything these guys say until it actually happens. At least they have started talking about it. That fight makes the most sense.
I think this fight is very close. Beltran may be the slight fav at this point. You can never count Burns out tho.
