A mountain being make out of some homosexuals. I don't agree with Evander myself, but if he wants to say unpopular things then that is his call and his alone to make. Surely if the others had some smarts they could make him look archaic holding onto the Bible nonsense, but BB isn't about smart and ready minds.

People should feel free to express their opinions even if those opinions reveal their ignorance. Nothing in life is that simple or cut and dry. For most sexuality is not a choice they have and always will be Gay or Straight, for others it is a more elastic thing and they will change at some, or many points in their life. The public will decide in a vote who is popular but that is all. The moment you agree to take part in a "reality" show like BB your credibility takes a nosedive. Raising your profile is one thing but agreeing to do virtually anything in order to do so is something else.

Yet, she didn't. Maybe the reason is because dumb people on big brother are scared of the Bible and didn't know what to do. 'Ooh, we don't like this Evander, but he speaks Bible talk', thus Evander being marched into the Winston Smith room. People get away with all sorts if the Bible is used as the excuse. They shouldn't though, but the sad thing is that ordinary people are constantly told to respect beliefs that Bible bashers can get away with things normal people would get into real trouble for.

Really? Seems like now days Christianity is the only thing that isn't off limits tbh.

I agree, there is a huge double standard, but that's because Christianity has been the "dominant" and the "oppressor" for so long (same reason there are so many double standards with race).
People try to take on the Catholic church like they're being edgy, when it's not edgy anymore. I wish the people who did this also had the courage to attack Islam, which IMO are much more violent, oppressive and archiac in their views, where they are actually killing people for being homosexual.

Its his opinion, fair enough if he believes that but I think he's completely wrong. Some men are born being attracted women, some attracted to other men.. some are even born being attracted to fucking cars for Gods sake! As long as its consensual it doesn't make too much difference. I doubt Evander will be in the BB house for too much longer.
