Re: The Bute/Pascal fight decision is unsatisfactory!
One thing for sure, I am pretty disappointed in bute. He has the skills to beat PAscal but apparently he didn't recover mentally from the Froch episode and decided to come an fight... one round. He wants a revenge but I think that first, he should seek help to put him back on the path to self confidence.
Re: The Bute/Pascal fight decision is unsatisfactory!
Bute seemed to take a good punch in his last fight against Denis Grachev. It just didn't carry over to the Pascal fight.

It was as clear cut as any win. If a fight is boring he thinks it should be a draw. Absolutely clueless.
I never said that. I said Pascal didn't do effective enough scoring to win convincingly. Floyd and Ward's fights are boring- but they are convincingly boring.
again showing u cant score a fight. All you have to do is enough to beat the other guy. Let me give u a breakdown of the fight:
Round 1 - Bute landed 4 of 15 punches, Pascal 6 of 35. In fairness was a close round. I gave it to Bute
Round 2 - Bute landed 6 of 22 Pascal 16 of 43. Late flurry by Pascal hurt Bute, clearly a Pascal round
Round 3 - Close round, gave it to Bute
Round 4 to 7 - clear Pascal rounds, outlanded and out threw Bute in every round with most of Bute shots being pawing jabs
Round 8 - close round, pascal out landed again 10 from22 versus 8 from 30 for Bute, again Butes mainly jabs, I gave it to Pascal, possibly 10 10 round
9 - Clear Pascal round out landing Bute 18 to 9
10 -clear pascal round out landing again 21 to 12
11 - Landed the same 19/41 each. I gave to Pascal because he looked to hurt Bute again at the end. Can see the other way too tho so will give to Bute
12 - Bute landed twice as many as Pascal. Butes round because Pascal did nothing
Score 113 Bute 116 Pascal being extremely generous to Bute still have Pascal winning comfy
Effective punching does NOT mean punches landed. You know nothing about boxing. Anything the compu-box tells you you accept, hook, line and sinker.
If punch-stats meant a damn thing then Calzaghe's slapping all the time and wrist punches would make him the most effective puncher, ever.

Because joe blow Grachev isn't a puncher, dude.. Dont let the Sillakh KO give you the wrong idea.
Re: The Bute/Pascal fight decision is unsatisfactory!
Isn't there an immediate rematch clause?

Ok so if I throw 10 punches and land 2 but neither hurt you and you throw 50 punches and land 15 but neither hurt me who has won the round? So you gave Bute 6 rounds? Please tell which ones and explain?

It's not what rounds I gave Bute, is what rounds I didn't want to give to Pascal. Which were quite a few rounds. This fight should have been a draw! A Majority Draw. They should do this again, because it means nothing.
And I would agree with a rematch. It may not be as boring as many would imagine.

So how may draw rounds did u have? 6? 8? cant see it possible that Bute won more then 2 or 3
Re: The Bute/Pascal fight decision is unsatisfactory!
I get what your saying, it was a shit fight, neither performed well. But on the scoring system in boxing its clear Pascal won. Rewatch it and score each round.
Re: The Bute/Pascal fight decision is unsatisfactory!
Bute is the new Kermit Cintron. The first ko loss devasted him so much he will never be the same.. dude is traumatized and dont have the mental toughness to overcome it.

I can see it again and give you more context to what I mean. Some rounds, Pascal only was active for the last 10-15 seconds. I just can't give a guy the rounds off of stuff like that.

just because you dont want to give a fighter the round doesnt mean that you shouldnt. for example, if fighter A only throws 10 punches a round and lands 2 but fighter B throws 0 punches, then fighter A obviously wins even though he hardly threw a punch. you score a round by who won not by who shouldnt have won.

It varies and both have merits. A fighter can throw one punch in the last 10 secs and score a KD and win the round. But if this punch hurts the fighter wobbles but no KD does he still win as the punches the other guy threw for the 1st 170 secs didnt hurt him. Its down to perspective a lot of the time. I think calling a fight like this is a cop out and down to being lazy when scoring the fight.
