Cleverly couldn't even fill 3000 seaters in Wales as "world" champ. That's why the Bellew fight happend in Liverpool.
Either way, after they both got exposed against the "elite" a rematch is just about the best option for both.
yeah he could well have made more out of stevenson
as exposed usually means - turned out to be rubbish - saying they were exposed is harsh, stevenson and kolorev look like very good fighters
stevenson KOed whats-his-face in round 1 a couple of fights before, and battered cloud, I dont think you would say the two of them were exposed?
"Exposed
against the elite"
They're both top level fighters but not "elite" level. If they were they wouldn't have both been totally pulverised inside 6 rounds and then dived straight out of the division.
yeah but Exposed against the Elite is like a contradiction in its self, either that or its a very negative way of viewing a fighter who climbs the ladder and fails on the final step
thats not exactly exposed
if i said i was a fantastic ladder climber and only got half way people could say i had been exposed for what i really was
if i said i was a fantastic ladder climber and got one step from the top, people would say ooof unlucky fella you almost made it :)

I agree with you. The thing is I feel Cleverley would have given Hopkins a decent fight just because he throws a large number of punches and would win rounds on workrate. I also feel he'd have given Shumanov & Braehmer problems but I think Bellew would have lost to the lot of them just because his every fight gameplan of trying to take his opponents head of with every punch would have been easy to figure out.
yeah but do you agree that clev was exposed or he didnt quite make it to the very top?
is your glass half empty or half full?
Re: Bellew's inferiority complex with Cleverley
Shut up you plum. If you told me you're a fantastic ladder climber but failed to reach the top, I'd laugh at you, call you an exposed fraud and then push the ladder over.

well, that shows youre serious if you are pushing ladders over
Re: Bellew's inferiority complex with Cleverley
Cleverley lost to a brilliant fighter and there is no shame in that defeat. He needs to decide if he really wants to box and if he does to get back into the ring and preferably shut that scouser.

Re: Bellew's inferiority complex with Cleverley
I am not quiet sure why Bellew hates Cleverly so much, but its clear he does.Even after they fought Clev was respectfull to Bellew after the fight but Bellew still seemed resentfull.
It could be because Cleverly is everything Bellew is not, smart, well educated, good looking with a stunning misses. And he was a world champ with a win over Bellew.
