Re: What do you think about Groves request for a no contest?
Groves is just pulling Froches chain again.

He'd rather fight Joe Soap for that IBF belt than rematch Froch. If Froch drops the belt the majority of dummies are gonna believe he "ducked" Groves. And Groves will dine out on it.
yeah very likely, what ever his motives are tho he is doing the right thing by keeping the fight in the headlines and keeping the pressure on
Re: What do you think about Groves request for a no contest?
If a clean KO like mendez-barthlemy got overturned, this fight better be no contest...
Re: What do you think about Groves request for a no contest?
Groves is really pushing it and he is starting to look like a spoilt child. He has done an interview in Boxing weekly and is claiming that he is seeking a new promoter and has intentions of being a sky ppv fighter.
He has no intention of having a rematch with Froch, he is forcing him to vacate the title so he can fight an easier opponent and get a title belt. He then can command a higher cut for the rematch and beat Froch who will be a little older and angrier.
Brilliant move.

It's refreshing.
Been under a rock for the best part of a decade?
Have you ever heard of Floyd Mayweather? ???
'Money" Mayweather is the last guy I would have thought off too.
His 0 is how he's kept making money and why he's made money in the long game.
