She said she would beat floyd , she said as soon as the bells going she would get to the floor and monkey crawl over to him and jump on him and get him in an arm bar. Ann Wolfe is bigger but she's older, she's not explosive like a man and she has no idea how to grapple. She'd get crippled. Ronda cuts down to get to 135, she walks around at AT LEAST 150.
Ronda trains with guys who weight just as much or more than Ann Wolfe and throws/taps them out.
She famously threw and tapped out Uriah Hall, a guy who fights at 185 (so walks around at well over 200lbs). Super athletic black dude.

Uriah Hall is a beast of a striker. But if you've ever seen the video it was clearly messing around. On the second go around you can see Hall even let his hands unclench. A man of that size and strength could easily pick up Rousey and slam her into unconsciousness. Heck, he would do that to a man of Rousey's size. She should conquer her challenges that are realistic. Rousey fought in the 150s and 140s in judo and MMA and is now at 135. But she refused to meet Cyborg, the scariest woman in MMA, at 145 and even at a catchweight of 140. They both were fighting at 145 in 2011 when Rousey entered Strikeforce, where Cyborg was champ, and Rousey dropped down a weight class. Cyborg insists Rousey is ducking her and has to back her into a corner by somehow dropping down to 135. Gina Carano was the first woman they tried marketing as beauty and the beast and Cyborg destroyed that in 1 round. They seem very leery of making that same match up with Rousey.Quote:

For women's MMA its Invicta. UFC is just now working on their 2nd weight class for women. Invicta has many. Rousey is the lone superstar for women though. And of course the UFC can and probably will use its power/money to trump/buyout the other leagues at some point.Quote:

I never heard that but I expected them to work on taking over women's MMA at some point. The brand name is like royalty to fighters even when the Fertitta brothers bought the organization they were adamant on keeping the brand name going because they know how fighters think. Hence, you have the UFC being glorified or deemed "where the money is at" even though they average paying out only 4% of their total revenue to the entire payroll of fighters. But the women's scale is difficult to compare. Invicta doesn't release its numbers and outside of Rousey the other women's pay is paltry. Carmouche, Tate, and McMann for their title fights against Rousey respectively made 12K, 28K, and 16K. Kind of sad when you realize this is before taxes, trainer/etc. fees and they can only fight 2 or 3 times a year. Tito said the Invicta offer to Cyborg was more money than the UFC's offer but they signed in hopes of fighting Rousey.Quote:
