Don't understand the hold up either way, he'd have a great chance to beat just about anyone aside from Floyd or Manny, and makes no effort to pursue the fights.
He gets paid ok. Also has a decent sponsorship deal with betfair. I just get the feeling that hes waiting for a weak beltholder to come along. He didnt fancy his chances v Alexander so avoided him until something he thinks is easier comes along. The winner of Porter v Paulie is probably that.
That is being too sceptical, no one would risk that, he clearly had an injury. Brooks would have beaten Devon any way. What was there to be afraid of?

I agree with you. I think he would have beaten Alexander. Just find it strange that an athlete in peak condition would pull out injured for his 2 chances at a world title. Perhaps it was more the fear of having to go to the states for the fight and felt he wouldnt get a fair decision.

I still put it down to unfortunate injuries nothing more.

I'd be happy if he got one last run at the money, not many would be able to make the most of limited power like he has.
Porter is the big fight Haymon promised Paulie for taking the Judah fight. I hope he can make the the most of the opportunity.
As I was reading this thread I was thinking about that moment when Paulie mentioned something about that awhile ago. I wonder what kind of money he will get for this fight.

I can't imagine he'd make more than he did against Zab in Brooklyn:confused: Nobody knows who Porter is yet, it must be the title Paulie is after/was promised. If he wins he'll certainly have the chance to make a couple more good paydays defending it, I think Porter probably beats him myself but it's a good one.
