Re: PacMan vs Mayweather a few years back, prime for prime (or thereabouts)
Pacquiao by KO.
Pacquiao in 2009 and 2010 would've overwhelmed him.
Re: PacMan vs Mayweather a few years back, prime for prime (or thereabouts)
Well that's funny I seem to remember just a month or so ago Manny pleading for a fight with Floyd. Considering his money problems too I don't think MAnny would mind about the split so much now either.
As for this steroid test business when was his last statement regarding testing?
It's obvious Pac is on steroids but that has F/A to do with his boxing performance. Without them Pac simply wouldn't be a welterweight! If Floyd is that much better, and I'm not doubting he is, he would not CARE about any of that anyway assuming it's all true, which I don't really buy anyway!
I'm pretty sure your right about 1 thing though, the fight will never happen.
Re: PacMan vs Mayweather a few years back, prime for prime (or thereabouts)
Has anybody ever heard a statement from Bob Arum or anyone from Top Rank declaring they don't want to put Pac in with Floyd? I've never seen anything credible to that effect.
All that shit is is a bunch of Flomos inventing really poor excuses for the pathetic behaviour of their man to escape ridicule. Simple as that.

Beanflicker , I think it's undisputable that Floyd IS ducking Pac. Pac and Roach have gone on record countless times in line with the general public pleading for the fight and Floyd has basically admitted shamelessly he is avoiding Pac. Pac is a warrior, he would fight anybody anytime, no doubt. That doesn't mean Floyd is necessarily "scared" of Pac himself but he is certainly worried about something.
Who cares if they went out and publicly pleaded for the fight? I can publicly plead for Jessica Alba to suck my dick, it doesn't mean I think it's going to happen. It's just posturing. I'd like to see the quote where Floyd "shamelessly admits" to ducking Pac, too.
In the end, the fight never happened because of both guy's huge egos. I know that's a hard pill for people to swallow because everyone hates Floyd and everyone looks at Pacquiao as the humble, "every man's man", but it's true. Pacquaio turned down 40 fucking million dollars to fight Floyd, and he refused to take an Olympic-style drug test, the same kind of test that THOUSANDS of Olympic athletes take every Olympic games and still manage to complete on the highest level. If people want to live in the fantasy world where they believe Floyd spent 2008-2012 hiding under his bed shivering at the thought of having to face Manny, go right ahead. There's no law against being stupid.
And Manny is a warrior? Of course he is. But what about Floyd? He's been fighting champions and top contenders since 1998. He's been in the ring with killers. He called out DLH out when DLH was 154 and Floyd was still at 130. Just because he fights SMART and doesn't go out there to get hit and damaged like a bum, doesn't mean he's a pussy.

When has Floyd came out and said he didn't want to get in the ring with Pac?

I'm one of those guys who said it would never be made from the very first talk of it and that it would not be all that competitive if it was. I'm not a Floyd fan boy but I can appreciate close to perfection when I see it and that is Floyds right hand. Not only does he have the best counter right hand I have ever seen but also one of the best lead rights I have ever seen. Like any southpaw, Manny's weakness is that hand. Nothing exemplifies that fact better then the Marquez fights. Now as a rule the triangle method does not work in boxing but in this case it most certainly does and it would not take Floyd 4 fights.

Well I can't argue with that because you are likely right. But I also think there is plenty of cause for doubt.

Nothing is fail safe but I'd bet the farm on this one. But as you say, I bet nobody thought Jake would out box Ray either.
