By all means watch the first series if you have nothing else to do, I finished watching the opening episode of series 4, just meh, it is Coronation Street with gay scenes, not much bewbs and it isn't fun, exciting or en-thrilling.

This show is tremendous and blows Walking Dead out of the water (which I've also seen every episode of).
The books are excellent as well.
"The Hound" is one bad ass motherfucker.
Wow! Now that is a visual clinic of why you never CARRY THE OPPONENT.....:cwm28:
Seriously, that shit was disturbing!! Does anyone "good" ever survive this fuckin show ???
I was just lamenting this to my girlfriend after finally watching this episode.
At first the ending of the fight was just so brutal and gory that it shocked me a bit.
However, upon rewatching it and reflecting on it some, it really did give me a sick, morbid feeling in my stomach.
Just negative really. Wasn't crazy about the prince of Dorne, but he was championing the smartest and truly best character on the show, Tyrion.
Incidentally, my dad once had a good friend a bit like the mountain, 6'2 or so, almost 300 lb Russian-American.
Apparently this fella got into a barroom fight once, one of many, and on this particular occasion he took his younger opponent down and....you guessed it jammed his thumbs in his fucking eye sockets. That ended the fight rather quickly. No heads exploded though.
Considering the previous crusha ya head shocker episode, I was expecting it to pick up fast but got the first 20 minutes listening to Sam wonder what getting a taste was like ;D But great when it kicked off finally.
Glad the chief baldy got a mill hammer to the head! The Wall defenses were pretty weak, why not knock off a mile of ice above and block the main gate initially. Loved the giants...thought for sure the one was going to 'waffle iron' the 6 crow defending gate and keep running. Hope for a huge finale and Tyrion fate needs to be resolved with no bs cliff hangers
I watch the series and find the overall premise intriguing but the show really slows at parts. Certain episodes are important for plot building but hardly attention grabbing. A guy I work with has read all the books written and says that moving forward it should be much more dramatic and action packed. He said Storm of Swords was the best book written so far which is where I think next season picks up.
Ive only just started watching it as I hate waiting for shit, so have all the series to four and are half way through series 3, I recon its great fun, my favorites are The dwarf by a long shot, Bronn and then all the naked sluts who are or want to be a Queen basically.;D
So is Spartacus better?
Anyone getting their inner dork on and anticipating tomorrows return? Looking forward to it.
First 4 episodes leaked :o awesome :D
just watched episode 7
This is getting so boring
Nothing ever happens
