Actually bean man, I was just quoting from different articles I read.In them, they emphasized Chino has little chance of winning. They were just saying in order to pull off an upset Chino would need to find away to neutralize Floyd's speed. Body work makes sense but I think Chino has a snowballs chance in hell. Besides, I think most of us fans are armchair trainers.Quote:

Jabs to the body and straight punches can get him into a defensive posture. That can put you in a position to score with punches. His best offense comes from him using his speed to bridge the gap and tag you, then push off and get out of range. If he's already in range and caught with his feet wide, he's usually looking to counter punch. If he transitions to offense too fast (before he can step out and gain distance) and looks to lead with punches when already in range (where he normally looks to counter), he's not using his world famous defense.

Again. When caught in range, he's not good at leading. This is a range where he relies on his defense and counter punching.

He rarely comes across someone quick enough to take advantage when hes coming to them from the outside.
When you look at most of the work Ortiz and Castillo got done against mayweather. Its using straight punches to drive floyd back and taking advantage of him being in a defensive posture. Backing off and then getting right back on him before he has a chance to walk away or bridge the gap with his speed and land first.

As Emmanuel Agustus (floyds self professed toughest fight) found gradually realized, you cant cant stand in front of floyd and not throw punches. Agustus with determination and awkward footwork working in different ranges had floyd constantly changing his mind between offense and defense and got a lot of work done in between.

In 18 years, everyone tried to outbox him or out fight him. Noone out thought him. No fighters unbeatable. You just have to know what to look for. Floyds most important weapon is his brain and his reflexes. They can be used against him if you know the cues hes looking for. Chino could land a shot in an exchange, but to following the above, requires more natural ability and training than he possesses at this point. Just my opinion.
Well one thing for sure he has to put his head into Floyds chest and wing away with those awkward hooks , he has to fight a very high pace or he will be picked apart , who knows fighters get old and is Maidana any worse than many others who tried to take Floyds 0.

He is undersized in this weight division to be competitive, lacking the explosive power-- the minimum requirement, a puncher's chance is not even on the table.
Maidana reminds me of jorge castro, and that guy won a lot of fights. He was crude, stylistically, strong and durable. But he was also more thoughtful than he appeared. Maidana moved his feet around to give himself some angles against broner in ways that were straight out of the castro playbook.
I don't think that you are going to pot-shot Mayweather and get him out- though anything can happen- because he is too aware in the ring. I don't think that you are going to bully him around and maul him because he can fight inside, he can move effectively, and all Mayweathers can punch when they want to.
To beat him I think you need to be a tough durable guy that can keep doing things he doesn't expect, lay traps for him. Like Dempsey said, sometimes the smart guys forget the other guy is thinking too. I do not know if maidana is that clever and I don't expect him to be.
Nope, I give him zero shot.. his offense will be shut down worse than corrales..

the key, is to CASTILLO 1 him. yeah, the first fight castillo was robbed of. pressure pressure pressure and hope something big lands! get him in a corner, trap his ass, rattle floyds nerves and make him uneasy and flighty. then hopefully the big shot will land.
