Leonard-Benitez is always a great example of the sweet science for me :D

Great fight. Toney was a pleasure to watch at his best
Re: The Sweet Science at it's finest
McCallum kind of threw it out the window and still damn near pulled it out in 1st bout, slugging on both guys part.
Random, I see Whitaker miles closer to Toney in style than a Mayweather, whole different kind of backfoot blend and asserting some inside respect. Hated Whitaker in 91' but grew to appreciate the shit outta him in hindsight

Floyd is better than Wittaker.
At 1:AM Floyd is in the gym
At 1:AM Wittaker is in the crackhouse.
You were busy hating him in 91 and you'd be hating him now if he were in his prime.

Floyd's a crack-baby, does that count? :)

I thought McCallum won that fight and both were beautiful boxers.

Dafaq are you on about ass hat??? I hated him in 91' because I didn't appreciate boxing and was more interested in heavyweights beating the shit outta each other. Called growth and expanding a mind and admitting I could be a narrow minded clown there. Try it :cwm13:

Whitaker did jack-$#!t in that fight.
He made De La Hoya miss, but he didn't counter after the slips; he just walked away instead. Crap-fight, but you have to give the decision to the guy who was at least throwing some punches.
Agree. Whitaker brought his A defense that night. But he only brought his barely D offense

1 AM in the gym, is a sign of bad time management.

Agreed. So you train at night means you sleep in the day when the other fighter is training.

A Sweet Science fight: James Toney defeating John Ruiz https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=waYYKb4tXJ8
Re: The Sweet Science at it's finest
One of the greatest fights to ever display the art of the (SWEET SCIENCE) Hopkins defeating Trinindad. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WvbJ8kgLW7Q
Re: The Sweet Science at it's finest
Patient, methodical & held his machismo in check. Barrera took Hamed to school and taught him the art of boxing: A technical, tactical performance. Threw only when needed, balanced, ring general favoring no one shot. I'd call this a Sweet Science fight. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KSAToqk7Yis
Re: The Sweet Science at it's finest
Not many mention this fight. Mosley usually a boxer-puncher puts on a clinic against Collazo. Great skills on display. Shane schooled Collazo so well, I thought maybe Luis was over it. But Collazo went on to win and also gave Berto hell proving IMO that Shane executed the sweet science against him. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C1wzjieRB00
