I hope Sergio smashes baby boy Cotto into retirement.
Respect Cotto for taking the dangerous fight.
Its a moot point and based solely on ego. Martinez has never weighed in at 160. Fighters routinely weigh a pound or two under the class. That is what makes the demand so stupid. He never had to ask for it to accomplish it.
Anyway I cant think of 3. I still say Khan would be his most difficult matchup today and if Floyd does not hit that 50 and 0 and retire he most likely will get beat by someone he would have toyed with previously. I do think he's looking for a way into 160 and probably feels Martinez is ripe. He may not be at ringside but I'd bet he will be closed up somewhere watching that fight.
Re: Name 3 opponents Floyd could fight to seal his legacy
Nobody mentioned Lara? If I could choose I'd pick:
1. a Maidana rematch (just to wipe that "stain" off his record)
2. Khan
3. Erislander Lara (to measure up his skills against a slick boxer)
For the 50-0, Pacquiao if possible. If not, just retire undefeated.

Bullshit.
He's fighting a 39 year old champ who, while once an amazing talent, has been plagued with knee injuries over the last few years, hasn't fought in over a year and looked like he had declined considerably in his last outing.
Cotto is trying to take advantage of a once great champ who (seemingly) is ripe for the picking. And what's more, he wouldn't even fight him at his weight class.
I hope he gets sparked.

Let's not get over dramatic. Cotto is fighting at middleweight, against the champion and is the under dog going into the fight. Respect.

1) khan
2) Pac
What the fuck has GG done to seal anybodys legacy when he doesn't even one himself???
Re: Name 3 opponents Floyd could fight to seal his legacy
Pac, Martinez-Cotto winner then Ward ;D

Hes thought of as one of the most dangerous and avoided fighters at around. It would take a very brave LMW to go up and fight him. Could you imagine the shit youd be giving GGG if he was to fight Cotto!

GG is fighting in a dead division...nobody is afraid of him....and Cotto would actually be a huge step up for him considering hasn't done shit for 7 years.
Floyd is not a LMW he's a WW with most of his career fights at 130 and 135.
Mayweather has shown bravery by moving up so many times....now let's see GG do it ONCE.
He won't because he simply does not have the game.
Re: Name 3 opponents Floyd could fight to seal his legacy
Garcia at 140
Pacman
Winner of Cotto vs Martinez

This would probably be the only fight in cottos career that he's taken advantage of something like that. But he 5'6 going to 160/159 he's small for 154 he's a dwarf at 160. So in reality it's also Martinez taking advantage of cottos courage wouldn't you say? He's picking on the little guy. So I don't see how cotto is taking advantage of him. Mayweather could fight Martinez or JCC could rematch him or GGG or canelo could but no one else is taking the risk cotto is taking. How is cotto a bitch? I hope cotto sparks Martinez and lands a mayweather rematch. That would be wonderful.
I am a fan or Cotto but I want Sergio to win and hope Floyd takes the challenge.
