I like Froch a lot, but as with some its his defects and the struggle to course correct that make him most exciting. I don't think he beats Benn honestly and as for Calzaghe just not interested enough on Joes part to find out.

So that explains how he wouldn't get knocked out against Calzaghe , but how is he gonna land any meaningful punches and win rounds? Sure, against Groves, there's the possibility of Groves tiring , but Calzaghe kept going to the final bell against all sorts , Kessler , Hopkins, Eubank, Lacy, to name just a few. Calzaghe regularly beat guys with Froch's style , they were made for him. Easy nights work for Joe , Slappy or not.Quote:

Froch could not even beat Calzaghe's left overs it took him rematch to do it. Calzaghe would box cricles around the guy say what you want but Froch not in Calzaghe league. Hell he not even the man in his division at least Calzaghe was the man at Smw and Lhw and was 46 and o at the end.

However, without wishing to sound like a broken record, I must reiterate that the Nottingham man would not have beaten Joe Calzaghe; nor has he had a greater career as some scribes have been suggesting. Let's deal in cold, hard facts. Unlike Froch, Calzaghe never met with defeat in 46 fights because, unlike Froch, he had a diverse skill set to combat whatever the opposition brought to the ring.

Twice when Froch was out of contract, I offered him the Calzaghe fight but both times he stalled and repeatedly asked when Joe intended moving up to light-heavy. He knew Calzaghe was as tough as him, yet far quicker and more skilled. He wanted no part and that's a fact.

Including winnng the title, Marciano only beat 5 men but 7 fights ncluding 2 rematches. Foreman only beat 3 fighters including winning the title! So a combined 8 between 2 greats.
They were great fighters but they deffinitely did have their faults and lots of fighters would have outboxed them.
I normally agree with you but Foreman lost to the greatest heavy weight ever and Rocky retired undefeated so they could not be criticised for that.Quote:

Froch can be and has been out boxed, and who has the better engine Joe or Carl the winner
by a mile Joe, over 12 rounds Carl would be lucky to win 4 rounds also he would take a lot

Also the title of this thread has to be tongue in cheek becuse I think kessler has another win over froch in him, ward deffinitly does, bika does and maybe groves does.

Eubank would have messed Froch around and toyed with him. Graham would have soundly beaten him on points and Calzaghe would have done to Froch what he did to Jeff Lacy. Watson would have taken a decision over him as well.

Eubank would have messed Froch around and toyed with him. Graham would have soundly beaten him on points and Calzaghe would have done to Froch what he did to Jeff Lacy. Watson would have taken a decision over him as well.
