Re: NOBODY is beating Carl Froch
I like Froch a lot, but as with some its his defects and the struggle to course correct that make him most exciting. I don't think he beats Benn honestly and as for Calzaghe just not interested enough on Joes part to find out.

So that explains how he wouldn't get knocked out against Calzaghe , but how is he gonna land any meaningful punches and win rounds? Sure, against Groves, there's the possibility of Groves tiring , but Calzaghe kept going to the final bell against all sorts , Kessler , Hopkins, Eubank, Lacy, to name just a few. Calzaghe regularly beat guys with Froch's style , they were made for him. Easy nights work for Joe , Slappy or not.
btw, Eubank, Benn, Watson, Herrol Graham all beat Froch (probably on points) Steve Collins ????

Only Eubank beats Froch on that list. Benn was too wild to beat Froch. Wide open Nigel Benn. Chin would be right there for carl to tee-off on. Also Collings NO WAY. Herrol Graham I can agree with it would go 50/50 every time, would be a great fight.
Re: NOBODY is beating Carl Froch
Froch could not even beat Calzaghe's left overs it took him rematch to do it. Calzaghe would box cricles around the guy say what you want but Froch not in Calzaghe league. Hell he not even the man in his division at least Calzaghe was the man at Smw and Lhw and was 46 and o at the end.

You forgot to say, 'except Andre Ward', who easily beat him & is still around & still a World Champion.
I like Froch, but he is far too slow to have ever stood a chance against Calzaghe.
Re: NOBODY is beating Carl Froch
For those saying Froch never ducked anyone.....
However, without wishing to sound like a broken record, I must reiterate that the Nottingham man would not have beaten Joe Calzaghe; nor has he had a greater career as some scribes have been suggesting. Let's deal in cold, hard facts. Unlike Froch, Calzaghe never met with defeat in 46 fights because, unlike Froch, he had a diverse skill set to combat whatever the opposition brought to the ring.
Much has been made of the austerity of Froch's opposition but it doesn't stack up against JC's. Calzaghe saw off nine world champions and tamed a younger, fresher and far more dangerous version of Kessler – then just 28 and unbeaten in 39 - before 54,000 at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium. People forget several of the less familiar names on Joe's slate were enforced mandatory defences.
Trust me, fighters know more than I know. Only Steve Collins knows whether he vacated his world title and retired rather than accommodate the young Calzaghe and Eubank left the ring muttering that he now knew "why that wily old fox Collins didn't face Joe".
Twice when Froch was out of contract, I offered him the Calzaghe fight but both times he stalled and repeatedly asked when Joe intended moving up to light-heavy. He knew Calzaghe was as tough as him, yet far quicker and more skilled. He wanted no part and that's a fact.

Re: NOBODY is beating Carl Froch
Let a outsider take a shot at this. Joe Galzaghe would have made Carl Froch his bitch. Something like 8 rounds to 4. Sorry, big Froch fan but Joe was just the better fighter.

far too slow...........thats what they said about Foreman and Marciano. But they kept on winnin'. Froch lands the shots despite being so "slow".

Against who?
How many fighters did both beat as world champions?;D
Including winnng the title, Marciano only beat 5 men but 7 fights ncluding 2 rematches. Foreman only beat 3 fighters including winning the title! So a combined 8 between 2 greats.
They were great fighters but they deffinitely did have their faults and lots of fighters would have outboxed them.

I normally agree with you but Foreman lost to the greatest heavy weight ever and Rocky retired undefeated so they could not be criticised for that.
Re: NOBODY is beating Carl Froch
Froch can be and has been out boxed, and who has the better engine Joe or Carl the winner
by a mile Joe, over 12 rounds Carl would be lucky to win 4 rounds also he would take a lot
of stick, I think he would take a drubbing.

Ok rocky retired undefeated, he didnt stick round to get defeated. Foreman, what did he do after ali?
Also the title of this thread has to be tongue in cheek becuse I think kessler has another win over froch in him, ward deffinitly does, bika does and maybe groves does.

Kessler, Ward and Groves would disagree.

Benn would have easily beaten Froch. I don't know why anyone doubts Benn's chin. Have you not seen the McClellan fight? McClellan hit 10 times harder than Froch ever will and Froch really isn't a big puncher. He wears people down rather than knocking them clean out. Benn wouldn't have much to worry about standing in front of Froch, but Froch sure would. Froch has never been in with a puncher like Benn. If Groves can put Froch on the canvas, Benn sure as hell would.
Eubank would have messed Froch around and toyed with him. Graham would have soundly beaten him on points and Calzaghe would have done to Froch what he did to Jeff Lacy. Watson would have taken a decision over him as well.
