He did everything possible to get fight stopped as a no contest. Thing is he seemed like he was the only one that new it was called a headbut. The referee never ruled it a headbut. Had it been stopped in round two like it should have then Donnaire loses. Then there was never a warning to Donnaire that unless he did something the fight would be stopped. After dropping Vet, he bitched out again in drama to ensure the fight would be stopped now that he had a KD advantage to win a now official fight. Nonito was winning the fight but his actions were so cowardly and he looked for the out before the stoppage hoping for a no contest and more so after the KD.
Then I saw the Fortuna fight tonight and he had a cut eye and a swollen eye and did not so much as blink . Donnaire is one big "Pussy"! I can not remember at the moment but he has done this before showing his pussy tendencies.
Re: Strange ending to the Donaire fight.
If I am JMM after this sad orchestrated fix there is no way in hell I am fighting PAC in Macau or Vegas ! It's Mexico City or keep the memory trophy of being KTFO ! I am also asking for a 50/50 split of the monies after the Bradley and Rios numbers top rank can no longer say PAC is the draw !

Give me a break : Here is the Great Nonito / Arum farce in detail the Arum recipe is have to have his PPV fighters fight a reputable name that attracts attention but they have to have a loss in at least one fight in last three.
Vazquez: 2 wins and 2 losses in last four fights (including a KO to Arce) Promoted by Top Rank
Mathebula: Promoted by Arum , only 21 years old and 4 wins and 3 losses in last seven fights.
Nishioka: Befuddled by record . He looked like a tentative amateur. He is promoted by Top Rank in association with Teiken Promotions and Tecete
Arce : Was way too small in move up to fight Nonito . Promoted by Top Rank. I have seen this rerun already it’s called Manny Pacquiao …..
BS P4P mention !!! He won fighter of the year but only should have won “Top Rank fighter of the year” website award. He lost in his only true challenge and avoided Garcia, Mares, and Santa Cruz. Won fighter of the year with this stupid ass resume yet JMM KO’s the fighter of the decade and nada. Had PAC KO’d JMM trust me he would be fighter of the year.
Re: Strange ending to the Donaire fight.
Fine, call him out on the fact that you don't think he's a great fighter or didn't deserve the foty but you are crazy if you think that any of your other claims have any basis. That was a disgusting cut that he fought through and knocked his opponent out through, everyone else (except maybe the ref) was doing their job properly and that includes Donaire. If it was Donaire who got knocked down and if the cut seemed harmless you would halfway make sense, but right now you don't. Deep breath and take your obvious Donaire animosity aside, Nonito is not a bitch. He was a fucken warrior today.
Re: Strange ending to the Donaire fight.
the south african was not dirty! he was a warrior. nonito was a warrior too the way he came back and knocked him down, but i DO think he was looking for and doing everything he could to get the docs to stop the fight. squinting and wiping like crazy. whining. it was a bad cut though. BUT fighters throughout history have went thru much worse damage and continued to fight!!! just seems like nonito acted like a bitch a little bit. at least he gave him a rematch option. id like to see it again....not a bad fight.

Donaire was cut bad he played the rules, without the cut he would have won anyway he was dirty
look at the fight again you can see him, following through with his head Donaire put him on his
ass the writing was on the wall.;)

That is not relevant. "What would have happened" never went to fruition. Pabon allowed the fight to continue to the 4th round point. The fight should have been called a NC OR ND. The guy should be horse whipped. It was a farce designed to get a TR poster boy another strap. It was a fix plain and simple.
Re: Strange ending to the Donaire fight.
What killed me was Donaire referring to the ref saying it was bad in about the 2nd but Donaire insisting ( saying he did) he had to continue, no I can go on etc. and after his strongest round and securing a KD it was all changed. A ref should not need to 'look' for help from other officials, hang over the rope discussing it prior to making a decision on stopping it...that was not the Doctor he was having a conference with from what I saw.
Re: Strange ending to the Donaire fight.
The finish was bent as fuck. But Im a big advocate of fighters safety and a bad cut can have a severe affect on the rest of your career. I think any cut from an accidental headbutt should be stopped, its too big a disadvantage, particularly if above the eye

The question was never of Nonitos ability to win or if he was winning or not winning . It is the blatant display that Nonito was going leave with the belt one way or another. Top Rank was not about to let this be a no contest. The head butt was never called and Nonito was bitching for a stoppage . He is lucky they did not oblige or he would have been the loser. Instead they wait for the fight to be official and then stop the fight. There is no doubt Nonito is superior and would have won but Arum made sure Nonita got the belt and absorbed no further damage. The subplot was Nonita showing he is a class "A" PUSSY !!!!
When Mickey Garcia pulled this shit all the Nonito cock suckers blew him up , well Nonito just upped him as a bigger pussy!!!!!!
Top Rank is buying China can control fight outcome easier : non TopRank fighters beware .......... Stay away .... Avoid at all costs. Arum just got too cute fucked Pacquiao into contract extension now this bullshit will all but prevent JMM from fighting PAC there.
Pac's future is joke vs left over Top Rank remnants. Arum does not care if he can not make money off PAC anymore if he can not , no one can. Especially GBP !
Pac's last highlight will now always be his destruction at JMM's hands.

The decision had been made at that point. The referee was asking some procedural questions. I assume he wanted to make damn sure Donaire was not going to lose by accidental head butt.
I don't know that it had. He needs to stick to a classroom if he is learning or needing his hand held on the fly like that. Not his first rodeo and def not the first that he looked uncertain and aloof in. The guy is horrible
Is it a refs place to concern himself with who wins or loses
Re: Strange ending to the Donaire fight.
Just saw the fight in it's entirety. Probably should have been called a ND when the butt happened, and more than likely Donaire milked it, knowing what's going to happened. The ref was pretty incompetent, no doubt and I can see why some people are upset.
However, 1 thing about boxing fans I've learned over the years from the internet is that they have a bad habit of calling fighters they don't like cowards and pussies. Sure Donaire milked it under the rules, but for some reason, I can never call any guy that fights for a living a coward, no matter how much I disliked the fighter.
