Re: Mayweather/Maidana part 2...
I'm torn. I scored the first fight close, but when I ask myself who can make adjustments for the rematch, I have to think Floyd can, which is why, ultimately, I think I'd prefer a new opponent, like Porter, Thurman, Lara or Andrade. With all the fights out there for Floyd, is this the one you want most? The bottom line is that I'm not very excited about the fall PPVs.

none of those guys have big enough names to make Floyd the money he wants the reason for the rematch is cause it'd currently make the most money for him outside of Pacquiao
My interest is not how much money Floyd makes on a fight but the best fight to watch as a fan.
Re: Mayweather/Maidana part 2...
You have to admit, seeing Floyd against a young hungry up and comer would be fun. Porter or Thurman would be fun, even though I'd still put heavy money on Floyd. But Maravilla is right - he didn't pick the Money moniker for nothing.
I'm still excited for Maidana. He put on a good show and flat out went after Floyd last time. He lost, but it was fun while it lasted. And I love to see someone push Floyd out of the potshot zone. When he sits down and starts throwing for real, it's a thing of beauty.

Maidana is not the person to beat Floyd it would be more interesting to watch him against Thurman.

Hey folks, they've released the official poster of Mayweather vs. Maidana 2 dubbed as "Mayhem".
What you think?

Really didn't think the first fight was close at all I had it 8 to 3 with one rd even, Maidana missed about 80% of his punches and when he did land they weren't even clean, Floyd was way more clinical and precise landing almost 60% of his punches.
Not really to interested in seeing a rematch, I would be shocked if Maidana wins more than 2 rds. I fully expect Floyd to pitch a shutout this time.

Why not Pac vs Thurman???;D
Re: Mayweather/Maidana part 2...
I'm tired of hearing Floyd saying the fight was made because that's what the fans wanted. He is so full of crap about caring what the fans want. I hope this fight tanks hard.
Re: Mayweather/Maidana part 2...
I honestly believe that Floyd could have dealt with maidana how ever he wanted to in the first fight
I think he wanted to make it an entertaining fight
I think this time it will be the shut out everyone expected it to be the first time
maidanas win over broner was very well timed, just as there seemed to be noone left to challenge mayweather below middleweight, and as a result it has made maidana and Floyd a lot of money
and lets be honest, broner was there for the taking by a full blown welterweight
Re: Mayweather/Maidana part 2...
i wish Floyd would fight someone else. Mainly because I don't see the rematch being that difficult for Mr. Mayweather
Re: Mayweather/Maidana part 2...
Mayweather'll probably pick Porter after Maidana because Porter is made to order for Mayweather.
Dude comes in with wide, looping shots, can't throw straight ones to save his life, he's not particularly fast, not a hard puncher, and leaves so many openings to both head and body that Floyd would be slipping counters through effortlessly, countering this guy all night long. The positives are that he's a young, prime fighter with good conditioning, stamina, and durability. Decent name on the resume, for a relatively easy fight.
