I made sure to use the words "can" and "could" due to the exceptions to the rule... I'm sure there were a couple others that were effective throughout history, but if you were training multiple fighters would you teach them all to switch stances because Marvin Hagler and Terrence Crawford were/are successful at it.
I also don't recommend crossing your feet, but Rigondeaux breaks that rule and is quite successful.

Crawford is no Hagler, Rigo is a hell of a fighter , may I just say Brendon Ingle fighters are exception to the rule, the guys not bad he's trained 3 World champions.
Most fighters out of his gym, change stance he has had great success , not 1 but 3 World Champion
he must be doing something RIGHT.;)
