Re: Ray Mancini on Mayweather/Maidana
I like Mancini in the ring and on the mic, but I think he's dumbing down Maidana a bit much here as far as "make it ugly". Well...yeah..no shit. No mention of what I think is Chinos biggest improvement and one that worked very well close to inside...the jab ffs. He didn't just club Broner down, he stuffed a short jab in the back of his neck, and also had moments where he stifled Floyds movement with it and set up shots and yeh, the maul. Right on about Floyds availability of adjustments compared to Maidana. Really the only level of shock and surprise Chino can bring is to come out early and box and pick his spots. Its expected a guy will see his era in a brighter light and he's spot on about best vs best and Mayweather seemingly tip toeing through the tulips. Personally I think Hearns at welter would shit in Floyds hat and hand it back to him with a "run along son".

You 're adding Bradley to this joke? Seriously the completely ordinary Tim F'n Bradley ? Do you believe this? Seriously? I genuinely want to hear you say you believe Floyd fears Tim f'n Bradley
You realize that absurdity discredits any other point you would try to make right? I mean Tim f 'n Bradley? Haha
Explain to me why he fights slow ass maidana twice, and a bunch of other Hispanic fighters who also happen to be slow as shit and throw punches like they cost money. You telling me tim bradley is not a bigger name than...fucking maidana? In fact, I see see tim bradly beating maidana.
Like I said, Floyd dont want to fight any boxers with rhythm or speed. I am dead fucking serious!

Ask yourself a question: When wasn't Hearns worn down? Worse when he was in 15 rounders. Hearns always wore down by the 11th or 12th... that was just him. If Hearns didn't knock you out before 8, or racked up huge points by 10, he would have gassed like her normally does... and going into the later rounds, when Floyd cranks up and shows his tremendous accuracy and punch combinations in addition to moving in and out, Hearns would be a sitting duck- just like how he was with Leonard.

Leonard was far better than Floyd, he punched much harder and carried more threat. Hearns could win against Floyd by just using his jab.

I don't think so... but you are entitled to your views on it.
Re: Ray Mancini on Mayweather/Maidana
It's amazing that people could possibly think that Mayweather would get dominated by anyone, or that someone could beat him "just with a jab".
There are a lot of guys who were dangerous and for sure had a shot at beating him, but to say Floyd would get punked or blown out by these guys is just ridiculous.

I never said he would get punked or blown out. He is a great fighter but not the greatest welterweight of all time.

That's fine. IMO his prime was 130-140 and he never was a true WW in the modern sense.
A lot of people just seem to have no concept how insanely good Floyd was in his prime. It's fine if people want to say so-and-so would beat him, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but when I see stuff like "Duran/Leonard/Hearns/ect would dominate/win easy", I just have to shake my head.
Especially Duran. How anyone thinks he would beat Floyd at 135, 140, 147, or any other weight is beyond me.
Re: Ray Mancini on Mayweather/Maidana
Duran would beat Floyd at 135lb.

I can't even think of a way that he would do that.
Re: Ray Mancini on Mayweather/Maidana
I mean I get the fact that Duran was and will always be considered the better LW, because Floyd only fought a handful of LW fights and Duran spent years there.
But when you actually watch tape of Floyd from 130-140, and you watch Duran at 135, to me I just see Floyd as absolute poison for Duran's style.
I get the fact that people will look at Floyd's 135lb fight with Castillo and say "look how much success Castillo had pressuring Floyd, Duran's a better pressure fighter so he'd win", but you could also look at Duran getting absolutely picked apart by Dejesus in New York and easily see Floyd doing an even better job.
Best vs best though, I can't see Duran winning. Leonard and Hearns maybe, not Duran.

Dejesus was a very good fighter but Duran beat him twice. Duran was a beast at lightweight.

I don't know as I believe that Mayweather was as good as DeJesus.
