Either fighter would fight Santa Cruz at the drop of a hat.
Cuba,Argentina,Brazil,Mexico,Canada,South Africa etc are neither European or Domestic fights for Quigg or Frampton but that is where their last opponents were from (discounting Martinez who despite being Spanish and European is surely not a bum and Parodi who is)
The last time either of them faced a domestic British or Irish fighter was 2012.
Nice try.

I meant domestic fights in terms of where the fight is held, in their back yard, or Europe- most likely Germany. I must have had the wrong impression of domestic, my bad.

But it is. If they were going to get big seven figure pay days for fighting him, they would be calling him out every hour of every day.
Rigondeaux is too much for both of them in the ring, but also very boring to watch for the casual fancy, and thus does not attract the big pay days. Boxing is (rightly) 99% about the money, and that is the one thing Guillermo does not bring to the table.
I am with those who suggest they build up a British show down, perhaps in the summer of 2016, after both make some easy-ish money showcasing their talents against opposition they should beat comfortably.
Re: Frampton-Quigg has to be made now
Britkid should be shot too.
"Wait until they get bigger" is nothing but bullshit promoters spout when they are avoiding making a fight. How many "wait until they get bigger" fights actually worked out?
This isn't a fight between a couple of prospects.
They both have "world" titles. They are both in their prime. They are both unbeaten. They are both independently top 4 ranked by any publication that matters. They both already have a fanbase. They are both being called out by the other big names around the weight. It's a perfect match-up. They will make big money, it will sell out an arena easily.
But, hold on, you guys would rather watch them have a bunch of roll over jobs. Old fogey promoter spiel.

It can work, look how big a Hagler/Leonard was because we had to wait...
I want to see Frampton and Quigg get brilliant money, if they are going to risk fighting each other. Thus it needs time to hype the fight to the mainstream, at the moment the fight is too much risk to both, for too little reward.

Exactly. Strike while the iron's hot. Waiting rarely works.
Get it on now. If they lose they can come back. If we stopped seeing a defeat as the end then we can start having more good fights happening when they mean something.

Germany indeed!
What the hell have either got to do with Germany?
We are not 'European'! Hardly anyone in Europe is 'European'.

That the concept of being a 'European' is alien to most people that live in Europe.
We identify by our country, not our continent.
Never ever have I heard anyone describe themselves as 'European'. It just doesn't happen.

Oh. Ok. I knew that, having lived in Europe for a while. But to the rest of the world, and for easy comparisons, European is anyone West of France to Russia.

So is France not in Europe then ? ;)

Al Haymon turned down the Quigg fight on the Mayweather undercard. Quigg was willing to go to US to unify against LSC but instead he fought a nobody. Thats Quiggs fault? Both would happily fight LSC. Frampton beats him easy and Id say Quigg is a pickem fight. Rigo is the man in the div. Apart from that there is noone miles ahead of Quigg and Frampton. Kid Galahad, Jazza Dickens,Gamal Yafai make for a top class domestic division at the moment
