If I'm honest in bored of seeing AJ go 1 - 2 rounds and he's clearly ready for a considerable step up in opponent so fuck it put him in with someone who's never been stopped and lets see if he can stop him.
I think he can and will and I think pretty much inside 6-7 after he's rearranged his face a bit.
Time to unleash him I say.
Pretty much agree with all of this. But I can't help thinking we're looking at this the wrong way. Yes, AJ needs rounds, but he doesn't just need someone he can hit for 10 or 12 rounds, he needs somebody who's gonna hit him back .........and hard. if he still bowls them over , then so be it. He needs a chin check (which I personally think he will pass with flying colours!). Otherwise , he'll have a similar problem to Eubank jr. Very Strong, Very talented, great potential, but untried as he goes up the levels and not working out how to cope with the problems he'll come across.
I think after Johnson, he needs a much bigger step again, and I think he's up to it. It's not an easy job for Eddie Hearn, but with all his recent calling out of Tyson Fury, I think he understands where AJ is.
I'm not usually a knee jerk type, but This guy could change the face of the Heavyweight division completely!

I've gone all in with Joshua. I think he's gonna be the business. I think the stamina worries and what not will turnout to be no problem at all.
I think right now he would KO Chisora inside 2 rounds. He would KO Fury. He would KO Price inside 2 minutes. Wilder wouldn't make it to the 2nd round. Stiverne is gonna get chinned out by Wilder. Big Daddy Browne would get a hiding.
(I apologise in advance Mr Joshua)

Did you see Boylesports were evens his fight with Johnson not to go the distance? Bet of the year for me :D
I wouldnt have such confidence in him yet blasting out all the guys mentioned above.
Re: Joshua v Johnson - Capital Punishment @ London's O2 Arena 31/01/15
For me it's a risk that has to be taken, there's no option but to take it. When you take it that's up to you but once you've chinned out 10 plodders is there any real value in chinning out another 10?
If you're an 11 stone bloke there are hundreds of fighters out there of all varieties and flavours to test every aspect of a fighters makeup. For blokes at the top and bottom end of the weight scale the pickings become slimmer and you've got to at some point make the leap.
There are two stepping stones for the young fighters in Johnson and Thompson who are separate from the heard of plodders. Both blokes will extend you in some way shape or form, if you've got half a clue (Fury.......did I just say that?) it'll be in rounds boxed only but if you want to be a twat about it (Price) you'll get your chin/metal checked.
I think Joshua beats Johnson in the same way Fury did. Don't give him a sniff and he'll become compliant pretty quickly. If he chins him out after 6 dominant and active rounds that'd be perfect.

Re: Joshua v Johnson - Capital Punishment @ London's O2 Arena 31/01/15
Its a stupid risk. People were concerned about whether Eubank Jr could do 12 after fighting nobodies but t least he had been 8 before. Joshua is going from journeyman who couldn't take him 3 whole rounds to someone who is a proven tough man over 12.
Hearn is getting carried away. Plenty of other opponents he could be graduating up with. 3 to 12 rounds is a big gamble;)

Dillian Whyte's views, which is interesting he said Johnson had the better of both of him and Joshua in sparring in the kiltshko camp. Johnson has been in training since July and isn't taken this on short notice and he's got a trainer now. So this should be the best Johnson to date apparently.

I dont see this as a risk at all. I cant see any way Johnson can beat Joshua. If Joshua doesnt get him out of there in 2 or 3 he will just have to take his foot off the gas and cruise to a points win. Johnson hasnt the one punch power to cause an upset here. Id almost suggest a weaker boxer like Abell or someone who has a decent punch is a bigger risk than Johnson.
Re: Joshua v Johnson - Capital Punishment @ London's O2 Arena 31/01/15
I agree. The only danger to me is Joshua doing a Price and blowing up. I think he's got a bit more about him than that. Make no mistake he'll be looking to stop him but he'll allow it to come, not force it.
