Re: It could be Froch - Hopkins
Or see if Ward is willing to cross the pond; it would sellout for a shot at vindication.
Re: It could be Froch - Hopkins
Ward has already said he won't fight Froch in the UK because of "inconsistent judging" . To be honest I don't blame him.

Froch has effectively said he can not beat him - so they will never fight one another.

First, his statement is simply factually incorrect and if that's his premise for not fighting someone then he better stop fighting in the States. I'm so sick of this urban legend leveled at Britain and specifically England and it is, and that's why it wont go away. We can go back to 1865 and work forward and I guarantee Andre Ward that it wont be Britain on top of the heap. In fact I'll go further and compose a comparison if need be and finish it by the end of the day which will show that since say 1970, Vegas alone has more bullshit score cards then all of Britain combined in the same time frame.
Second, this is coming from a guy who had his own way as in judges, ref and location his entire career and then when it looked like he may have to bend when no opponents were worthy in his division he went on strike.

I never said there are more bad decisions in the UK, I'm just saying that there are some examples. I accept it happens everywhere , especially Vegas.
I think Ward is just saying he's not putting himself in that position. The crowd can have a massive effect on scores. Froch could be coming forward and missing with everything, but the judges would give him rounds just because of the noise. Ward feels he's the #1 and doesn't need to put himself in that position , That's all.

I'm really addressing him not you but you did say you couldn't blame him. I just dont get the complaint and never have. It just does not pass the litmus test.

The reason I said I didn't blame him was because of the paragraph above. I'm not saying he'll get robbed, but why even put yourself in that possible scenario when you see yourself as #1 and don't have to?

Re: It could be Froch - Hopkins
Stylistically this might be one f'ugly match. Bit of a head scratcher
Re: It could be Froch - Hopkins
Hopkins is looking for a big cheque. He's dreaming about filling Wembley and getting a chunk of the Sky PPV. I also think it'd be horrible to watch and I don't think it'd sell well either.

One fight to this day I'm impressed with from a judging standpoint was the SD Michael Moorer got in Germany over Axel Schultz. It really could have gone either way-as the crowd's raucous chants of approval cascaded through the place whenever Axel threw anything.
P.S. poo-poo on Froch for considering Hop.
