Yeah, cos Floyd's always looked chinny and loads of people have KO'd him in the past haven't they ?
I couldn't give two fucks for either of them as people, just about pure boxing ability.

All these qualities would give Floyd problems and they were wanting to fight one another at one stage. It would have been an excellent fight. I think Naz timing could possibly cause Floyd big problems and he may have even stopped him.
That would be a great fight and at 126/130 I'd most likely toss a coin. The closest style wise that Floyd ever came across was a half spent Augustus. I disliked Hamed immensely during his day but it was not a genetic imprint which appears to be the case for others. How anyone can dismiss Hameds chances against Floyd at the feather area is simply beyond belief.
Re: Naseem Hamed v Floyd Mayweather
Floyd would want to upstage Barrera and slam Prince into the turnbuckle at every corner.
Re: Naseem Hamed v Floyd Mayweather
Seriously though... Hamed had some technical flaws that were embarrassingly exposed against MAB.
Floyd is nothing if not fundamentally sound.
If that translates into a Hamed KO victory, as claimed by some..... then I guess someone's not being very objective, are they. ;)

And I watch his highlight tapes every month or 2 and documentaries about him too. So maybe.like SRL, over the years I have become a bit of a fan.
I'm a fan of Hamed because he brought a lot of excitement to boxing. Boxing needs characters like him who drum up interest, who polarize people into caring about the outcome (whether they love him or they want to see him get destroyed). Also, he was very exciting in the ring and had legit one-punch KO power in both hands. He was a fantastic talent, when all is said and done. He just didn't have (or at least didn't show he had) the sound fundamentals to go along with his natural talent.

I dont think how Mab did against Hamed has anything to do with how Floyd would have managed against him. Floyds game plan would have been nothing like Mabs. I just dont see Floyd becoming a swarmer. Hamed was like a rubber-band man in there, was speedy as hell and stood atop welterweight legs holding one punch gone to disneyland power and a southpaw to boot. I just dont see Floyds shoulder adjusting to well his odd approach. Oh I'm sure Floyds right hand would be key but Hamed would not allow him to get settled at all and it would be a whole different kind of guy fighting off the back foot countering that Floyd dealt with in the past
Re: Naseem Hamed v Floyd Mayweather
Hamed was always top of the 'Championship'... the day he got promoted into the Premier League against Barrera he was quickly relegated. The Prince turned back into a toad in his only A list fight. He wisely missed Morales, Marquez, Pacman and Floyd!

uh, own goal I think. Floyd has been ko'd in 0% of his fights . Naz didn't knock everyone out (if I've told you once I've told you a million times, don't exaggerate. :) ) .Infact he had an 86% stoppage record , which is very impressive, but his record against "Elite" fighters is fought 1 lost 1 . Mentally, he lost his aura and He couldn't handle that so he had to retire.
Like I've said before, don't think that the Floyd back then was like the Floyd of today. Naz was a very strong , good albeit unorthodox fighter that made an absolute killing back in the day , which he deserves respect for. But do you honestly believe that Corkscrew right from his toes would've got anywhere near the chin of a guy as skilled as Floyd , bearing in mind Barrera dealt with it very comfortably?
so with the own goal, that's 2-0 to me.

Really?? I thought Naz was pretty close to his prime when he got humiliated by MAB.

So true. Not only was Naz way past his pomp he didn't even train for Barrera.
Re: Naseem Hamed v Floyd Mayweather
Also Barrera should have been DQ'd for that head smash. Reverse that situation, Joe Cortez is slinging the British foreigner out. Fact.
