He said it, he don't look like a fighter,he thinks hes a model. When he stops and poses hes getting KOd. He could make this fight close, but Cotto is better, and more seasoned, and this wont be a Lacy-Calzaghe repeat.

LMAO,you don't remember why you hate him? Man,with the intensity of your dislike,I thought there was some real good reason!!!Quote:

I read some time ago like a year or two about this Malignaggi guy and it was not precisely about a great fighting style or raw talent but rather his ways of finalizing his rings appearances: a loud speeches of nonsense.
I don't even bother of watching his fights, therefore I don't know him!
I'll be honest with you, I saw that Camerena fight, I think Paulie is the real deal. They did a little special on him and he was talking sh*t like usual. But when he fought, this guy's got good defense, good footwork, great hand speed (not PBF level but still pretty good) albeit no power, and the dude's cool to watch cause he's so slick. The big question is that Cotto will land some punches, will Paulie be able to take them? If Paulie can deal with some of Cotto's punching power, I think this could be an upset.
My prediction - Cotto KO (11th). Paulie's better than a lot of people give him credit for, but I just can't see him being able to outslick Cotto all night. Cotto will catch him in the later rounds.
your opinion count as valid and I appreciate it. I'm looking forward to see that fight in the Garden. Thanks for your response!!

HOWEVER, there will be no need,
cotto will drop this joke with a body blow!!!
I'm pulling for Cotto as well. Paulie isn't really a threat in hurting Cotto so I think Cotto will move forward and take more risks to catch Paulie. I think a good strategy would be for Cotto to hit Paulie to the body for the first 6-8 rounds...I'm talking stomach, chest, shoulders, arms...basicall anything below the neck as these are much bigger and easier targets then a constantly moving and bobbing head. After he's slowed Paulie down for those 6-8 rounds with his devasting body blows, he should then go head hunting. I'm thinking Cotto by KO 10th round.
I'll be honest...his style is very reminicent of Floyd's. That being said...I don't think that he will be as assertive as Floyd...but he does remind me of him as far as his ring ethics.Quote:

Malignaggi if he loses would only go the Judah route of shame if Judah loses to Mayweather one sidedly.
I, for one, understand why Paulie talks so much...Boxing fans love it when boxers to play the role of the villain. Guys like Fernado Vargas, Ricardo Mayorga and Mike Tyson (post Douglas KO) had made careers of being the bad guy. It makes fans pay for a ppv fight that normally we would see on espn. On paper, no one in his or her right mind would pay money to see this fight. Paulie is a heavy underdog...basically because of his lack of opposition, power, talent, health(busted hands), heart, and any other category used to rate boxers. I seen Paulie fight a couple of times and he does have some hand speed, but nothing I would call blinding. Plus Cotto has faced boxers with good speed before and put most of them on the canvas, so it’s not going to be a surprise. The only thing Paulie has going for him is instinct ability talk up a s*** storm. Even though the fight has been weak in promotion...I think it will do well for two reasons. One, people will pay money to see Cotto fight, and two, people would pay money to see Paulie take the beating of his life. I hope Paulie the villain shows up and walks the walk during the fight, but I've heard boxers and analysis describe Cotto's left hook to the body as being the equivalent to being hit by a car. So I pray Paulie doesn't plan on walking outside on June 10th.
Paulie talks like he knows what to do. He's kind of annoying, but he studies. Will he be able to implement his game plan? I think not. Cotto by KO. Early? Late? Whenever Cotto starts to go to the body.
Yep, Malinaggi is a lil bitch and a shat talker. He runs from and outboxes bums and average fighters then talks like he is a great champion or something. Cotto is gonna whip his ass and I am gonna throughly enjoy watching it. Malinaggi is the kind of douche, you can't help but just hate.Quote:

You'd assume that Cotto might get the best of the reffing and if he's allowed to bull Malignaggi early on and rough him up to the body I can see him getting to him and stoppin him late.
Actually...their styles are very similar. Paulie does a good bit of immulating as far as Floyd's style goes.Quote:

Cotto definently defeats him. I think that Paulie's skills are amazing & he's fun to watch...but he's never been in with a world class operator like Cotto...& even though Cotto's not the best in the world...he's damned good.Quote:
