Re: James DeGale v Andre Dirrell
DeGale has fought better competition recently. You have to wonder if he is OK mentally if he pulled out of the Super 6 because of the Abraham fight. I guess we'll see.
DeGale is making upward of $2 million? That's a big purse. If he beats Dirrell and Groves beats Dirrell, a 2016 rematch with Groves would be monstrous.

Andre learned he had to take the fight and not expect to win on countering.
I'm rolling with the Matrix Baby.;D Great NEWS!
Andre won that fight. He landed more, cleaner and harder.
Cleaner & harder I agree, but he fought in spurts.

How is that worked out? Don't they split the $3.1 mill? Quite a few ifs in there as well! Big ask for Degale to go to the States and beat Dirrell , especially if he's back to his best.

Honestly Dirrell really stunk the place out and Froch forced the fight to win ugly.
Re: James DeGale v Andre Dirrell
They split the purse 50/50. Both these guys are questionable mentally, Dirrell more so. I still think he bottled it against Abraham and took the opportunity to duck out of the fight and the tournament. He's more talented than Ward but mentally not there. If De Gale shows some balls and brings some pressure he can win this.

Re: James DeGale v Andre Dirrell
Once Dirrell gets DeGale out of the way, Dirrell wants to face former IBF champion Carl Froch in his first defense. Dirrell has a loss to Froch in 2009, but Dirrell doesn’t mind giving Froch a rematch because he’s confident that he’ll beat him.
Dirrell feels he was cheated out of a win over Froch in their fight that took place in Froch’s hometown of Nottingham, UK.
“Winning is the only thing I know,” Dirrell said via Fighthype. “I got one defeat; cheated but not defeated against Carl Froch. Once I get that IBF title, if he [Froch] wants to get a shot at getting it back, then I’m right here, man. DeGale first, then Froch. I know I’m going to handle the job,” Dirrell said.
Re: James DeGale v Andre Dirrell
DeGale was most impressive supermiddle in the world last year. I'd back him to beat anyone in the top ten (regard Ward as retired) but think Dirrell is most tricky style matchup on paper.

If Degale boxes like he did at Wembley Stadium on the Froch v Groves undercard then he will win this.
Box being the main word as he's got bags of talent but went through that annoying stage of trying to "rope a dope" everyone into a tear up. i hope that was due to lesser quality opponents and maybe his injury but yeah i totally agree he looked brilliant in his last few fights and just needs to let his hands go in flurries and use his footwork and Dirrell is history ;)

((@Master - it's a well known troll website))
I believe DeGale's injury was deffo a problem for him (also fighting in shopping centres in front of one man and his dog to now being on Sky Sports and fighting on massive cards)
Re: James DeGale v Andre Dirrell
De Gale is the underdog for this fight.

Re: James DeGale v Andre Dirrell
I wonder if Andre spars often with his brother who is facing Jack next week. True sparring isn't the same as being active, but I think Anthony will help Andre a good bit.
PBC boxing does a great job at promoting up coming fights within their telecasts- almost 4got this was still on till they promo'd Andre last night..
Good fight.
Re: James DeGale v Andre Dirrell
Degale has travelled before so it shouldnt be too bad for him.
