I'm from the old school where we used weighted gloves (filled with lead shot), and also did exercises and weight training to build up the arms. The trainer stood behind you and slapped you on the back of the head if your form or punch was not right. Never used bands. But one thing I have learned. Always approach training with an open mind...what works for one guy, might not work for another. And if a fighter has a goofy punch or stance, and he is winning fights...leave him the hell alone. Once you have taught the basics, a fighter has to find his own way.
