Useless as the Royal Family are. whilst they still make more money (toursim) than they cost (which they without a doubt do) I say keep them around! It's just all the hangers on like the 17th Duke of whogivesafukc that we need to weed out!!

Sorry, but they don't make ME any more money than they cost ME. I don't work in the tourism industry. Why should a portion of my hard-earned wages go to someone to pay for their castle? How many tourists actually see any of the royal family in person? If we got rid of them, we would still have all the castles and palaces for stupid tourists to gawp at.

I struggle to understand how someone can live a life of luxury and never have to do a real days work just because of where they are born. Equally, I struggle to understand how someone has to live their life under constant paparazzi and public scrutiny and have to carry out turgid public duties just because of where they were born.

Can't really argue with much of that, apart from the fact that we all benefit from money being spent in this country.
