When Manny throws 400 punches in a fight, you know he is either shot or injured. It has nothing to do with the opponent. Maidana threw 800, you can throw at the air if you are healthy and Manny wouldn't even do that.
Manny came in at his heaviest, 151-152. Either he didn't train or spar much after the injury or he was too careless eating those butter finger he is endorse by. He ate one right after he weighed in.

It's not really that hard to count punches, at least when you watch the fight on a big screen and on slo-mo. But most folks won't, either because it's so tedious or simply because they are satisfied with the scoring. I've scored few rounds on some fights but never the whole fight though. I guess it's just too much of a hassle to find out which of millionaires won the fight when I don't even get a penny from it.;D
Re: Can you argue these RBR stats (Pac vs May) Floyd loss RBR
There's people out there who think DLH and Maidana should have won as well. Not understand boxing and not knowing how to score a fight unfortunately doesn't stop a lot of people from telling how fights should have been scored.

Of course, only you know how to score a Boxing Match.
You think very highly of yourself. You must be very popular at parties.

It's funny how clowns like you are quick to say people don't know how to score fights but don't understand that points needs to be taken off for excessive hugging and how aggression should be given more credit/points. If they followed actual referring rule, guys like floyd would have been given less points therefor defeated. Hugging is what killed the heavyweight division. This charlie chaplin boxing from Floyd may have killed the rest of boxing from the rest of the world as side from you so called expert boxing heads smh.
Re: Can you argue these RBR stats (Pac vs May) Floyd loss RBR
Where can we find the link to these stats?
Sounds like Arumstats.com
Espn stats FNF stats, bleacher sports stats, HBO stats, boxing news stats, boxing scene, mlive.com stats PA sports stats all have PBF landin 141-148 punches not 68.
PAC is credited by all these as landing 81.

All of those ESPN, bleacher, HBO and others share the same compubox stats. The guy I shared a link to had it redone round by round and turned out different from compubox stats.

It's EFFECTIVE aggression that's scored in pro boxing. If you're throwing a lot of punches and wearing a guy down, you're being effective. If you're swinging and hitting air and arms, all the while getting hit with clean counters, that's called getting outboxed.
You don't win fights on the basis of walking forward and moving your arms. You actually have to do something when you swing. DLH didn't do fuck all to Floyd.

Julius Rain ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!
Re: Can you argue these RBR stats (Pac vs May) Floyd loss RBR
Some of Floyd's "punches" were not really punches either. Just thought we should say that. It was a rip off. Pure and simple.
Re: Can you argue these RBR stats (Pac vs May) Floyd loss RBR
I just rewatched the fight in regular speed and in slow motion.
I counted 148 connects for Floyd
I counted 81 connects for Pac
Case closed!
Re: Can you argue these RBR stats (Pac vs May) Floyd loss RBR
14.5 per cent per round?
86 landed out of 471 thrown?
