Re: Arum says that Pacquiao has had this injury since 2008
What a load of bollocks this has become.
There is an interview with one of his sparring partners Keandre something and he said Pac sparred everyday that he was scheduled but he was trying to box, so they got their game plan wrong IMO. Also Ariza in an interview said that Pac had no injuries back then and Arum is lying.
This needs to stop. Just admit you got your game plan wrong and were betting on Floyd's legs being shot , being faster than him and him being feather fisted but when that wasn't true you didn't have a plan B and got embarrassed. Simple as.
Re: Arum says that Pacquiao has had this injury since 2008
I just watched the showtime epilogue (I've posted it on the maypac news thread) and no mention of a shoulder injury in the pac corner between rounds like you would expect.

What can be hilarious about Forum's are, poster often think they are being persuaded. No what is being done most time by quality poster is, they try to figure out facts and sort out reliable sources. You are not being persuaded because fanboys are already convince one way or the other. Plus what makes them think so much that their opinion matter? Most fanboy just post their sheep like opinion like they should be pass them around as the only accepted FACT. SMH.
Re: Arum says that Pacquiao has had this injury since 2008
Re-watched the fight tonight as a friend wanted to see it.
Pacquaio didn't look like a fighter with a shoulder injury. He looked like a fighter who was off his PED regimen. He looked like a completely average, 36-year-old, blown-up lightweight.
Floyd looked like a guy who was somewhat surprised and relieved to be collecting $250 million to spar for 12 rounds.
Re: Arum says that Pacquiao has had this injury since 2008
We first had the "I lost because I wore the wrong socks" excuses. Then all the other excuses to not take random blood tests. And now the excuses as to why he was taken to school by Floyd. Come on Pac. You need a new team of excuse-makers.

He should be able to afford it with the 200 million he made to swing and miss for 12 rounds.

When Pac had Floyd on the ropes throwing his bombs he DID NOT simply back up. He got square, and thus didn't have balance, Floyd's shoulder went into his chest because Mannys flurry carried him into him. When Floyd's shoulder made contact it put Manny off balance. That caused him to back up and then he reset. I can't speak for every time he flurried but I saw it clear as day once. I assume that was the case the other couple times.
Not sure what you mean in that scenario you described. I'm not trying to make excuses for Pac. After watching it the first time I thought he didn't do enough to convince the judges he won. I expected more from Pac and credit Floyd for throwing those straight rights from the first round. I'm just not so dismissive about Pac's injury like Floyds fans are and anti pac are. Either they came in with the gameplan of countering Floyd into a big punch and flurry which didn't turn out enough or Pac had the shoulder holding him back and his corner refuse to talk about it. He clearly asked for anti-inflammatory for it before the fight though which should tell us something, right?

Julius my man, that's why I don't engage in discussions much here except upcoming boxing fights, there is simply no rhyme or reason when the fan-boys speak. Nothing wrong about that I guess since this is a fan site, not necessarily an experts' site. The only thing sure here is that the battle line has been drawn and you know exactly what side most of the people belong and they have always proven and will always prove that with their predictable comments - they are very, very consistent when it comes to this. For example, when people say Floyd lost to Castillo, the Floyd-boys will say he was injured and the other side will say that's an excuse. When Manny refuses to take the test, they say he's on PED and us packy boys will say 'no he ain't' but when Floyd is seen in the company of a PED expert, they have their own excuses or arguments. That's how it is and how it will be. And definitely, that is not my cup of tea, I'll rather talk about upcoming fights, no hypothetical ones, and take a stand, right or wrong - no problem with that for me...

I think Manny had the injury when he was born.

Don't answer this because we both already know the answer, but if Floyd lost - are you telling me that you'd believe that he was injured?

I personally think it is bullshit he was injured but if he was, what kind of reaction do you expect about his timing of revealing this "injury"? Before the fight he thanked Floyd. He thanked him for making the fight. He was all smiles. He didn't look like a fighter concerned about an injury. Straight after the fight he said he won, said Floyd "didn't do nothing". Now he's saying he was injured the entire time as an excuse for his off performance.
The funny thing is that before the fight I told my friends who are casual boxing fans, that I wanted Floyd to win because he deserves respect for what he has achieved in the sport but his attitude and the fact he's a total dick stops people from respecting his skill but regardless of the outcome Manny will be respected. I was wrong, I can't believe how unsportsmanlike he's been about the outcome. Just respect the decision, applaud Floyd for beating you, but say you feel you'd do better in a rematch. Instead of doing that, he's become a whiny little bitch, much like his trainer.
