Frampton is not a far superior boxer whichever way you look at it. They are close but Frampton makes a lot of mistakes that Quigg is more than capable of punishing. Either digs enough to win by KO or TKO but Frampton thinks his own farts smell like roses and that will be his downfall. Quigg will never take an opponent for granted. Better schooled, crisper technique, great feet. Carl will probably be denied that big payday by Bary anyway, who too, is deluded enough to think that Carl is the A side and that Quiggs belt means nothing and should be happy with 25%. :-\ What an eejit
Pretty sure Quigg took Salinas for granted. Same with Jamie Arthur. I cant see Quigg causing Frampton any problems. He could win by KO but in terms of boxing its hard to see him winning any rounds. If Frampton boxes smart he wins easily.
Both lose easily to Rigondeaux.
Re: A sure thing! Frampton V Quigg?
I now think the fight is more interesting, Quigg looked good he done a better job on Kiko than
Frampton, and Carl looked very much off his game and with him talking about going up in weight
the fight may or may not come off.
A lot of people were making Frampton a favorite, but I have felt it's a 50/50 fight myself.
Re: A sure thing! Frampton V Quigg?
It's one of those fights that needs to happen for the good of boxing after the bullshit hype job that was Floyd v Pac.
Two really good fighters at the top of their game in an intriguing fight that's difficult to predict. I favour Frampton, but I can't say that with any kind of real certainty. He seems to have a bit more to him and I think he's a tough little fighter who is better equipped to handle pressure and punishment than Quigg.
Re: A sure thing! Frampton V Quigg?
I dont understand his talk of moving up and it sounds like a knee jerk reaction to not having a spectacular showing. I dont recall ever seeing Alejandro Gonzalez before but damn that kid is a world class fighter and could hang with anyone in the division. Its not like Frampton had issues with some can.
