That's insane, 50k. May have been 25 years ago..jesus we're old..but that's terrible money for 'where' McClellan was at in career going in! I thought they split prior or was he still contractually obligated for future cuts? I honestly didn't realize how shat the people training and approach to that fight was prior to seeing doc. Still though, Benn would sort it out either way.

I have huge respect for Manny but it takes the shine off his "concern" knowing the subsequent truth. Ruthless business. Yeah the figures look insane compared with today, Benn "only" got 750k, 12k live gate, 13 million UK TV, Showtime in the states.
Anyone pulling those numbers these days would be guaranteed millions (both fighters).
