Maybe King knew Tyson was quilty and the tight so-and-so knew the money spent on an expensive lawyer would be expensive and wasteful.
King did not even pay for the lawyer.
I remember Tyson had to cash a bond that Cus put in place when Mike was a teenager. Tyson acknowledged that only Cus really cared about Mike's future wellbeing.
Doesn't change why King would not help Tyson.
King never helped him because he was a scum bag and would have pimped his own mother. One would think he could have supplied a Lawyer paid for by the interest alone on the money he scammed off Mike.

King had a monopoly on the titles, TV and top fighters. So you had to deal with him on his terms. If you resisted he would find your weakness and exploit it for all it is worth.

Indeed. Its actually quite amazing almost unbelievable that the man is not dead. Him and the Wbc were joined at the hip. I've always had mixed feelings about him cause with all the parasitical behaviour he made a lot of big fights.
