So what you are saying is that both Cotto and Alvarez are bums and him dishing out a 'sanctioned beating' against either of these two would not be impressive?
Yeah I'll go for that.
Cotto was a damn good Jr Welterweight and a good Welterweight. He is not a great MW. Alvarez has never even proven himself to be the top Jr Middleweight, he has never done anything at MW. Not a thing.
Answer this, take your sarcasm and put it aside for a moment and give an honest answer. Do you think either fighter beats him? If I give you 10/1 odds do you take it? He is a much better MW than either.
I never said they were bums, nice job putting words in my mouth by the way, that's a very poor way to debate. It's shameful in fact. If you can't just debate on the merits of the discussion you show yourself to be fraudulent. Intelligent people know that.
You said the MW division was shit, I took that to mean that you were suggesting that both Cotto and Canelo were shit, I actually said in my first post that GGG beats them both easily, I just can not for the life of me see the Ward fight happening any time soon and as you said it would probably 'maybe in 2017'
Sorry if I came across as a little agressive in my post, it wasn't done to cause any offence
Re: GGG vs Cotto or Alvarez, who would make the better fight?
Also regardless of if he does lay a beating on either of them, a fight against them would generate a hell of a lot more interest from the casual fan than Ward would and as Master said thats kind of the game that they are in.

Yes, but fight fans should not support it just because it makes money. Fight fans should look for the good fight.
Ward is not a good fighter to watch. You would only watch him to see him face a tough fighter and see how he would cope with his skills. The onus is on Ward now to earn a fight with triple G. Ward has to become the dominant fighter at the weight again after being out so long. GGG has been active.

I am all for that fight, as soon as Ward makes the weight. I am certain a fair minded guy like you would not expect GGG to move up and be at a disadvantage. Maybe you are one of those fans who think we should have a "Catchweight Division". You know what I mean, we can slip it in between all the regular divisions, so we get to see all those fights our pea sized brains can think of.
Sanctioned beatings? All sanctioned bouts have the possibility of being sanctioned beatings, that is why the referee is in there!
Re: GGG vs Cotto or Alvarez, who would make the better fight?
Probably Canelo although both are a big step up from anybody GGG has fought so far.

Lets keep telling porkies and stay on the happy ggg train.
F*** that happy ggg train that is an LSD train of hallucination. His level of competition has not really been so good and therefore he is looking so stellar. Boxing nowadays does not have a Marvin Hagler who would come forward and decapitate GGG. The ring doctor would be picking up a head which was rolling on the canvas after Marvelous Marvin Hagler physically decapitated him. He cannot fight a steamroller who comes forward and doesn't take a step back he would get his head bashed in his chin has still not even been tested.
If Hagler was around GGG would take him on. GGG has not avoided any middleweight fighter.
I would doubt even Hagler would bother going up to supermiddle to fight Ward when he could stay and take on Cotto/Canelo winner.
Re: GGG vs Cotto or Alvarez, who would make the better fight?
The network is drooling over these matches but honestly I think we all know neither are middleweights ??? I have all respect for Cotto but realistically think he will be absolutely smashed into pulp facing Golovkin. Seriously I don't see it competitive. In the minority but I want him to fight Quillin v Jacobs winner. If the division is really that shit, at least clean it up with guys who actually fight in it, don't demand catchweights and are comparable in fight time weights.
