Re: When fighters smile or shake their head after getting hit with a good shot
Sometimes you see real respect in the ring, once in a while you'll see both guys smile and touch gloves after one of them delivers a good punch, almost like they were sparring.

Vinny Pazienza was annoying as hell with the "just punched in the face" showmanship ;D He literally beat his own body and chest more than some opponents after getting caught. Feet stomping, howling shaking his head with blood flowing and smiling. I haven't seen many fighters lick there gloves and laugh at a guy like that. Think Tapia did it a couple times.

Over the top intimidation tactics are annoying, but the ones who annoy me the most are when the fighter acts like they're on wobbly legs. It seems like they don't realize any reaction to a punch is telling and acting like a cartoon character makes it worse. IMO, of course.

I remember seeing Roman "Rocky" Martinez after getting dropped in one of his fights. He would get up, punch his gloves together, and gesture toward the opponent in a "let's get it on" type of gesture. It was nothing more than self-motivation, and the crowd just ate it up.
