meh I'm just saying I am this confident in Mayweather winning... Its meaningless to just say one person will beat another guy's ass, and when the opposite happens you don't show up for a week and everybody"forgets"... right Northside? Anyways Zab could still be good, but IMO he should take two or three months off boxing and work on mental preparation like meditation or something.
loser must be absent for 3 months?Quote:

i see no chance of mayweather scoring a KO/TKO, so im down
If the Old Pretty Boy took on
Corrales, Hernandez, Chavez, then Castillo
Then I like the old Pretty Boy. I mean, that kind of schedule rivals the greats! :o
Yet these past three years and more, have been lackluster in competition. So if that is
the NEW Mayweather, then I don't like this version, based on competition. Also, note
that it may be his competition lately that makes him look better as of now.
For Mayweather to make me shutup about his competition, he needs to fight Ricky Hatton,
Antonio Margarito, ... or any challenging fight.*
And those fights are fantastic for boxing, other than the Sharmba's, Brussels, blah blah.
Mayweather's 30 next year. I didn't realise the age factor, until it was Paul Malignaggi that said Mayweather
is going to get long in the tooth soon.
By the time Sugar Ray Leonard was 31, he fought Hagler, Hearns, Benitez, Duran, and Duran again.
At 28, he fought them all, minus Hagler.
There is NO WAY Mayweather can compete with that schedule anymore.
Mayweather has a lot of catching up to do, if he wants to challenge Ray Leonard's record.
He already has the talent. Why waste it on Telefutura level fighters. I can see why he fought
Gatti, there was a lot of money involved. Was it Castillo's close fight, that was a rude awakening to
go for easy money fights rather than rough money fights?
But Mayweather has wasted his "all-time-great" talent on low-level competition for the past 3 years.
Mayweather and Bob Arum openly say Floyd is better than Ray Leonard, he (Floyd) needs to prove it.
* Judah, "loser to 9 loss Baldo" doesn't count,
despite my pick as of now. (Pick, which may change) There are a whole slew of reasons I have why
Judah is an easy option for Mayweather, but what the hell, Floyd fans won't listen.

When Floyd started out he stood still more to hooks rather then leaning away from them he would block them with his gloves and hit you in between the shots. His defensehas improved but he's not as quick upstairs and he stands upright more now. I like the mayweather that fought Sosa and Henry then the one that fought Mitchell Corley and Ndou. I think Emanuel Burton showed the right strategy to beat Floyd Mayweather he just wasn't ready.
I personally don't think he has changer per se, just altered his style for fights which he knows he can win by being flat footed Sharmba etc Like I said, if that is his new style then Hatton, Margarito etc all stand a waaaaay better chance of beating him because regardless of what he does(shoulder roll etc) he is going to hit waaaay more especially by the 2 guys I mentioned!
I think he will fight the fight ot beat certain fighters. Against Sharmba after testing his chin he knew that he coudl stand with him. But against someone like Hatton I think he would move and counter more often, if he fought Margarito he would fight him the same way he fought Hernandez and Ndou, for some reason he just performs better against taller fighters.
Thanks Game,
I'd rather want Mayweather to take on bad*ss fights, and shut me up AND
then I can root against him in the process. :D
I'd love to drive to Vegas and watch Mayweather Hatton or Mayweather Margarito. 8)
I think PBF
Agreed. :coolclick:Quote:

Its very hard to unlearn something like that later in life especially when its been woven into your instincts like that. He punches more now, not because he's abandoned his fathers style but becauses hes added something to it. I wouldnt necessarily say him taking more risks is a stylistic change as much as it depends on the individual fighter hes facing (as angel eyes said). Against guys like corely and mitchell, he took more shots looked a little less careless because he wanted to prove that he belonged at the weight (werent they both his first fights at a new weight?). If hes really in there with someone he felt was a dangerous puncher, he wouldnt hang his chin out there for a free shot with rep and his money on the line.
Floyds constantly sizing a guy up in the ring and reading his rhythm, distance and his stance. Wether hes punching or defending. If you look at the guy, he prepares well and does his homework. Like he prepared for Sharmba by sparring with chop chop. I suspect Chop Chops still somewhere in the preparations, wouldn't be surprised if sharmba is too.
Just like Tszyu used David Sample before he fought Zab. Sample got obliterated by zab in one of his fights coming up... but the point is, he simulated the style and has been in the ring with zab. Anyone know the whereabouts or the activities of the motor city cobra, Corey Spinks these days? *raises eyebrow* :headscratch:
