So, the referendum and the resources spent on it which could easily have been spent on helping vulnerable people or paying for hospitals was all a big game then. Oh, how hilarious. I guess they should do it again sometime. What can you say? :-\
It wasn't a game. It was a referendum. Do some research, and look into what a referendum means in the UK.
Which goes back to my point about the UK not being a functioning democracy. It's hardly a conspiracy, I have been saying that I cannot see them letting Brexit go ahead myself, but it should go ahead and the will of the people should be respected. The notion of law overriding that is just funny when you consider that law is really just an excuse for those with power to dictate over those that do not. "Sorry plebs, the law says it's up to us!" Well, then why have a referendum in the first place if it was obviously never going to be binding? They seem to be making it up as they go along.
Re: Brexit ain't gonna happen...
But they aren't making it up as they go along... It's the law.

Which goes back to my observation about the inordinate sums of money wasted on the propaganda, the speeches, the rallies, and so on. If none of it matters and people are literally dying in their homes because the system is wasting money on nonsense then what on earth is it all about? It is the ultimate proof that nobody in charge has a clue what they are doing and that popular will does not matter and that the system is completely broken.
Re: Brexit ain't gonna happen...
Don't fight change, Mr Rocco!
Re: Brexit ain't gonna happen...
I don't know why people in the UK WOULDN'T want their independence!
Have these people just become "institutionalized" like Red in Shawshank Redemption? ;D
Re: Brexit ain't gonna happen...
So you guys have high courts that overturn the will of the people as well. I read one of the Lords worked closely with EU lawmakers he should have stepped aside for the vote. The system is rigged in Britain as well

Well said! How said it is when the people's voice is drowned out by government tyranny! :-X
Re: Brexit ain't gonna happen...
Ah yes, nothing is so dangerous to the establishment as when the will of the people directly opposes their plans
Re: Brexit ain't gonna happen...
You all act like this is something new...
What year did "The People" acquire this sacred and profound democracy that you're lamenting the loss of?
