Ortiz looked good against a decent top 20 or 30 rugged trial horse in Saul Corral. Corral was game but def overmatched. Good comeback win for Ortiz, but hard to have any faith in him against someone serious as he's quit too many times.
He did what was expected. Let's hope his team looks out for him and doesn't feed him to the lions.
Anyone know the how the bad blood between Rios and Ortiz started?
I heard there were rumours that Victor tried it on with his wife or something..what's the real story?
Same promotion and two guys glued back together more times than Frankenstein ;D. Not sure about the wife but bad blood sells. Really though I think the last Rios we saw runs right thru him and takes his lunch money.
Deloach fight on undercard was pretty fun. Hard road back for him.
Ortiz was my favorite boxer for a time. If I'm not mistaken he had two alleged comebacks both didn't work out. I saw Jim grey interview him and he said something along the lines of the fire left his belly or something to that effect. I would actually love to see him come back and do something but I think that ship has sailed.
Looks like Ortiz vs John Molina Jr is set for last September.
Should be an entertaining brawl.
Ortiz let me down against Floyd, he faked that knockout. He should stick to acting.
Yeah that Billy Goat thing was beyond ridiculous I've seen stuff like that on the playground with third graders but never expected that in a prize fight. To follow that up with the Ghey Fest with the kissing and the hugging..... mehhhhh, Ortiz is an idiot.
I would have liked to set that fight play out. The ref had waived them in so Ortiz should have been protecting himself.
Yes I was so disappointed also. Ortiz seem to be coming on a bit there. it's kind of like when Tyson was coming on in the rematch with Holyfield and then he bit the ear. I wanted to see that fight go on too. It's almost the same feeling I get when I think of the Mayweather Ortiz fight.
I always wonder. Could there have been a way to give Ortiz 5 minutes to recover and offer him the opportunity to continue if you wanted?
